Research On The Current Situation And Protection Of Meihu Opera In Southern Shanxi

Opera has evolved into a major artistic treasure of traditional culture in the history of mankind.It has carried the spiritual civilization of people throughout the ages and has become the epitome of regional folk life in various eras.The local opera in Shanxi Province has a long history and a wide variety of types,and it occupies an important position in the development of Chinese opera art.The Meihu Opera in southern Shanxi has developed and grown here thanks to the favorable geographical environment and cultural customs of Hedong(now Linfen and Yuncheng).It is also called "confused" because of its clear and beautiful tune.It was put on stage during the Jiaqing and Daoguang reigns of the Qing Dynasty(1796-1850).It has a history of more than two hundred years and has developed into a drama with local characteristics.This article takes the Meihu opera in the south of Shanxi province as the research object and elaborates it in three parts.The introduction part explains the research background,research questions,research status,research methods,and research significance of this research.This part of the discussion is divided into four chapters for discussion: Chapter One "Overview of Meihu Opera in Southern Jin",this chapter sorts out and elaborates on the definition and historical evolution of Meihu Opera in Southern Jin,from the aspects of culture,art,economy,etc.The significance of the inheritance and protection of the Meihu Opera in the South of Jin Dynasty is discussed;Chapter Two "The Artistic Features of the Meihu Opera in the South of Jinan",the content of this chapter is carried out from the four aspects of the theme,musical characteristics,singing characteristics and accompaniment of the Meihu Opera in the South of Shanxi Elaborating,through the analysis of the main body of Jinnan Meihu Opera,the author deeply understands that the unique artistic charm of this type of opera is closely related to the local humanities and customs.Its singing tunes and the pronunciation of lyrics closely follow the pronunciation of Jinnan dialect.This also builds a bridge for the local people to take root in Meihu Opera in South Jinan;Chapter 3 "Analysis of the Status Quo and Problems of Meihu Opera in South Jinan",the content of this chapter is divided into two aspects.First,the author visits the theater group and the performance site Etc.,I have in-depth understanding of the current situation of the troupe,performance status,inheritance method,inheritance status of artists,repertoire,circulation area,and audience groups.The troupe that is now responsible for the inheritance of the Meihu opera in southern Shanxi is the Meihu troupe of Linfen City.The troupe and the Meihu troupe of Linyi County,the troupe’s performances mainly include government-funded performances for the benefit of the people,commercial performances for profit,and exchange performances.The inheritance of opera is mainly through school education and the troupe.".In recent years,due to policy support,the troupe’s production has gradually increased.They mainly reflect people’s livelihood and eulogize traditional virtues.The performances are mostly in the rural areas of southern Shanxi and northwestern Henan.In recent years,due to policy support,some performances can be carried out in the city theater.However,with the development of society and technological progress,the development of Meihu opera in southern Shanxi has been blocked and difficult.It is faced with the competition of other types of drama and the impact of multimedia culture.There are problems such as the shortage of creative talents and the loss of cast members.In response to these problems,in Chapter 4 "Protection Measures for the Inheritance of Meihu Opera in Southern Shanxi",the author tried to propose corresponding inheritance and protection measures from the perspectives of the government,the troupeand the school.The prosperity of opera culture reveals the rich historical and cultural heritage of the local area,and the content of opera also conveys the wisdom of working people of the past dynasties.As part of China’s excellent traditional culture,Meihu opera in southern Shanxi has very important cultural and artistic value.It is worthy of our in-depth study.
