Analysis Of Efficiency Of The Cultural Industry In Beijing

Culture is a deep force cast in the vitality,centripetal force and creativity of a nation.The cultural industry has gradually become an important part of the national economy and the competitiveness of countries.In China’s just-concluded "13th Five-Year Plan",it is clearly pointed out that the cultural industry should be urged to grow into a pillar industry of the national economy.The recently ushered "14th Five-Year Plan" also put forward relevant suggestions for the growth and development of the cultural industry,clearly pointing out that it is necessary to unify social and economic benefits,and improve the modern cultural industry and market system.As the capital of Beijing,the growth and development of its cultural industry plays an exemplary and leading role for the whole country.Beijing must conscientiously build a national cultural center in accordance with the overall framework requirements of "one core,one city,three belts and two districts".Therefore,studying the efficiency of Beijing’s cultural industry has far-reaching significance.Firstly,sorting out the relevant theories about cultural industry and efficiency in this thesis,which lays the foundation for the writing of the thesis.Secondly,using descriptive statistics and other methods to sort out the present situation of Beijing culture industry,including the status quo of cultural resources,the scale of the cultural industry,the structure of the cultural industry,public cultural infrastructure,literary and artistic works,cultural consumption,cultural trade,employees and the cultural industry concentration,further increase the understanding of the Beijing culture industry.Then selecting appropriate input and output index variables,using the Data Envelopment Analysis model to measure the efficiency of Beijing’s cultural industry,make a horizontal comparison of the efficiency of Beijing’s cultural industry in 2018 across the country,and make a vertical comparison of the efficiency of Beijing’s cultural industry from 2015 to 2018.After that,the Data Envelopment Analysis-Malmquist index was used to dynamically analyze the efficiency changes of Beijing’s cultural industry in the 2015-2018 yearbook.Finally,the grey relevance method is used to analyze the correlation between the comprehensive technical efficiency of the cultural industry and the nine factors.According to the research results of the current situation of cultural industry in Beijing,we can see that there are many cultural resources in Beijing,the public cultural infrastructure is relatively perfect,the scale of cultural industry is expanding year by year,constantly creating jobs,and the degree of aggregation is also high.According to the results of the DEA-BCC model,it can be seen that the return to scale of Beijing’s cultural industry is showing a decreasing trend,there is a discussion of redundant input value,and its overall efficiency shows a general upward trend,but its scale efficiency still has room for development.According to the results of the DEA-Malmquist index,it can be seen that the growth of the efficiency of Beijing’s cultural industry mainly depends on the pull of technological progress.Improving technical efficiency will be the key to the development of Beijing’s cultural industry in the future.According to the results of grey correlation,it can be seen that the selected factors all have a significant impact on the comprehensive technical efficiency value,especially the factors related to people and industrial structure.Therefore,the following relevant suggestions are put forward:The first is the productization of cultural resources,forming its own unique industrial advantages;The second is to promote the integration of various industries and cultural industries to achieve common development between industries;The third is to improve the modern cultural industry system and deepen the reform of the cultural system;The fourth is to give full play to the role of cultural industry clusters,reasonably control the scale,accelerate the innovation and upgrading of cultural industries,and improve scale efficiency;The fifth is to cultivate professional talents related to the cultural industry and build a reserve army of talents.
