Research On The Characters And Singing Of Nightingale In Stravinsky’s Opera "Nightingale"

Stravinsky was one of the most influential composers in the music world in the first half of the 20th century,and an important figure in the Western modern music school."Nightingale" is his maiden opera and a masterpiece with the "Stigma" on the world opera stage.The research on this opera is also an extension of the domestic Stravinsky opera creation research.This article is divided into three parts: introduction,body(five chapters),and conclusion.The first chapter of the main text,from the brief introduction of Stravinsky’s life and music creation process as important nodes,classifies Stravinsky’s creations into orchestral works,ballet works,instrumental works and piano and vocal works.Finally,combining his life and creation,analyze and explain the background of Stravinsky’s time,and put the opera "Nightingale" studied in this article into the background of the time.The second chapter is the text analysis of the opera "Nightingale",and summarizes the literature by comparing the content of the original literary work "Nightingale" by Danish writer Andersen and the plot content of Stravinsky’s opera "Nightingale".The plot changes between the original work and the opera and their reasons.The third chapter combs the relationship between the characters in the opera "Nightingale",analyzes the character and image shaping of the protagonist Nightingale based on the plot of the opera,and conducts a dramatic analysis from the arias of Nightingale’s aria.Chapter 4 analyzes the musical style characteristics of the opera "Nightingale",including Chinese musical style,Russian musical style,neoclassical style and impressionist musical style,as well as appreciation of the authoritative singing version of the opera "Nightingale",Reference and comparison.Chapter 5 analyzes the three main passages of Nightingale from the aspects of lyrics content,melody characteristics and singing.
