Personality traits in structured interviews play an important role in the management of false impressions of candidates.Based on the understanding of the current status and characteristics of personality traits and False impression management,Therefore,based on previous studies,this study will further investigate the role of self-monitoring in the process of personality traits in the management of the false impression of candidates.According to previous studies,the Big Five Personality Scale can measure the bright side of personality,while the Dark Personality Three-in-One Scale measures the dark side of personality.Therefore,this research divides personality traits into bright personality traits(Big Five).Personality traits)and dark personality traits(Machiavellianism).This study will use the above scale to explore the role of self-monitoring in the process of personality traits in the management of false impressions of candidates.In this study,using the Fake Recognition Scale,Big Five Short Form Scale,Machiavellian Meritarian Scale,and Self-Monitoring Scale.According to the data collected by the candidates’ Big Five personality traits,Machiavellianism,self-monitoring,and false impression management,the data distribution is basically in line with the normal distribution.In the measurement of Big Five personality traits and Machiavellianism,people’s personality tendencies tend to be in the middle.In addition,self-monitoring and false.In this study,489 applicants were used as the research object,using a deceptive identification scale short form,the big five personality scale,machiavelli’s level,self-monitoring scale survey applicant mostly deceptive impression management present situation,and discuss the candidate’s personality and self-monitoring,falsity of the correlation between management.Frequency distribution analysis was conducted on the data collected from the applicant’s big five personality traits,Machiavellianism,self-monitoring and deceptive impression management。In this study,489 applicants were used as the research object,and used the deceptive identification scale,the big five personality brief scale and the self-monitoring scale to investigate the mediating effect of self-monitoring on the big five personality traits and the deceptive impression management of applicants.The results show that extroversion,agreeableness and neuroticism can significantly predict deceptive impression management behavior,and conscientiousness can predict deceptive impression management behavior.Extroversion,agreeableness,and neuroticism were significantly positive predictors of self-monitoring.Self-monitoring has a partial mediating effect between extroversion personality traits and deceptive impression management,and a complete mediating effect between neuroticism traits and deceptive impression management.In the third study,we took 489 applicants aged from 22 to 34 years as the research object,and used the deceptive identification scale,machiavelli’s level and self-monitoring scale to investigate the mediating role of self-monitoring in the personality traits of machiavellianism candidates and the management of deceptive impression.The results show that machiavellianism personality traits can significantly predict the behavior of deceptive impression management,and machiavellianism personality traits can significantly positively predict the level of self-monitoring.Self-monitoring plays an intermediary role between the candidate’s machiavellianism personality traits and deceptivei mpression management.The conclusion shows that the data collected by the big five personality traits,machiavellianism,self-monitoring and deceptive impression management were analyzed in frequency distribution,and the data distribution basically conforms to the normal distribution.The research conclusions show that the data collected by the Big Five personality traits,Machiavellianism,self-monitoring,and false impression management are analyzed by frequency distribution.The data distribution basically conforms to the normal distribution,indicating that the candidates’ Big Five traits,Machiavellianism,The development of self-monitoring and false impression management is normal.The candidate’s personality traits of extroversion,pleasantness,and neuroticism have a positive predictive effect on the management of false impressions,the sense of responsibility has a negative predictive effect on the management of false impressions,and Machiavellianism has a positive effect on the management of false impressions.Predictive role;self-monitoring plays a partial mediating role between candidates’ extroverted personality traits and false impression management;self-monitoring plays a complete mediating role between candidates’ neurotic personality traits and false impression management;self-monitoring plays a role in candidates’ Machiavellianism and the management of false impressions play an intermediary role.This research verifies and supplements the related research fields of impression management,further enriches impression management research,and provides certain support for future related research.This study also explored the relationship between the personality traits of candidates and the management and use of false impressions.To determine which stable personality characteristics(Big Five personality,Machiavellianism)are more likely to use false impression management,so as to provide opinions and suggestions for recruiters to make reasonable choices in the process of recruiting employees.
