| The development of landscape painting in Song and Yuan Dynasties can be said to be the two peaks of artistic achievement of Chinese landscape painting. However, the external schema and internal spirit of these two dynasties are quite different.Compared with the realistic and rational landscape painting of Song Dynasty, the landscape painting of Yuan Dynasty is more prominent in lyrical and freehand artistic conception. This paper focuses on discussing these problems from Fan Kuan,a master of landscape painting in the Northern Song Dynasty, and Ni Zan,one of the four masters of Yuan Dynasty.Fan Kuan creates a magnificent atmosphere with boundless momentum, simplicity and solemnity, while Ni Zan is a state of mind with rich artistic conception. The artistic conception of landscape painting created by them is produced in a specific social and cultural environment, with strong subjective consciousness and self-appeal.Although there are differences,we can’t deny their commonness.First, both landscape paintings are poetic and picturesque, with the beauty of poetry;Furthermore, both of them are influenced by Confucianism,Taoism and Zen in different degrees.Because of the interference of historical factors, landscape paintings in Song Dynasty tend to Confucian culture, while landscape painters in Yuan Dynasty accept Taoist philosophy more. The artistic conception created by Fan Kuan and Ni Zan with their own unique life experience and expression mode not only reflects the innovation in techniques and expression means at that time, but also develops and contributes to the traditional aesthetic consciousness, which is a typical representative of the transformation of self-subjective consciousness into artistic conception and provides a model for future generations to create artistic conception expression of landscape painting.Choosing the artistic conception of Fan Kuan and Ni Zan’s landscape paintings to study is an important part of my system of learning landscape paintings, which affects my understanding of landscape painting creation and my inner self-cultivation.Through in-depth study of typical works and individual styles,it has more practical value and significance. |
