With the development of China’s internationalization process,the promotion of Chinese language and cultural communication are also developing,especially in Southeast Asian countries such as Thailand.With its rapid development and fruitful results,Thailand’s Chinese teaching and promotion has become an outstanding representative of Chinese teaching and promotion in various countries.However,at the same time,Chinese teaching in Thailand has fallen into a bottleneck,and there are problems such as insufficient Chinese cultural teaching content and single teaching method.This article is guided by the experiential teaching method,taking the cultural teaching classes of Suksanareewittaya School in Bangkok as the research object,taking Chinese traditional festival culture as the teaching content,and analyzing the shortcomings and improvement measures of Chinese culture classes in Thai high schools.This article first uses the literature research method to research,generalize,and summarize the relevant theories of the experiential teaching method,and takes it as a theoretical guide.Then,by means of interviews and questionnaires,the general situation of Chinese teaching in Bangkok Suksanareewittaya School,the students’ mastery of Chinese traditional festival culture and the general situation of Chinese culture teaching by local teachers in Thailand are analyzed,and the problems in the cultural teaching mode for the schools,teachers and students are summarized.Then,based on the results of interviews and surveys,aiming at the shortcomings,the teaching design of Chinese festival culture and the teaching of Chinese traditional festival culture are carried out under the guidance of experiential teaching method.After the teaching practice is completed,a questionnaire survey is used to examine the teaching effect and satisfaction of students on experiential culture teaching,and the teaching situation is summarized and reflected on.Teaching practice has proved that the experiential teaching method is effective when applied to the Chinese classes of Suksanareewittaya School in Bangkok,but there are still some shortcomings.Based on students’ class feedback and teaching effect surveys,this article puts forward four relevant suggestions for improving teaching effects: Classroom activities should be scientifically managed;Teachers strengthen their own classroom management capabilities;The setting of context should be taken into account when experiential teaching method is applied to teaching practice;Different teaching methods should be combined for teaching.I hope to give some reference to Chinese teachers who will teach in Thailand in the future.
