Chen Ji is a typical scholar in the south of Yangtze River in the late Yuan and early Ming Dynasty.He treated the Confucism and History as base since deeply affected by his teacher Huang Jin in literature,including the Buddhism and Taoism,so his articles are very majestic.His calligraph pursued Jin Dynasty style with integrated various schools.Firstly,the paper made a textual research with the name of Chen Ji ever used.Then,studied Chen Ji’s calligraph skill,academic mindset and where it was from based on “Yi Bai Zhai Gao”,combined with the books and comments from his teachers and friends.Finally,stated the influence of Chen Ji’s calligraph and why it was not very known by people today,meanwhile,resume it with an objective historical position.
