| With the development of the three-level curriculum management system and the reform of basic education curriculum in our country,it provides a certain space for the development of school-based curriculum and the realization of independent management in schools.K Primary School English School-based Curriculum was launched in September 2017 through the cooperative development of English teachers inside and outside the school,aiming to increase the interest of lower grade students in English learning so as to lay a solid foundation for their later learning.In the early stage of implementation,school-based curriculum has been highly praised by teachers and students,school leaders and parents,and has achieved certain results in promoting students’ English learning,improving teachers’ curriculum development ability,promoting the school’s independent management and developing educational characteristics.At first,this study uses the literature research method to clarify the policy background and related concepts of school-based curriculum development theoretically.Secondly,based on the identity characteristics of the author as both a participant and a researcher in the development of K Primary School’s English School-based Curriculum,the whole process of the development of K Primary School’s English School-based Curriculum was described in detail with the method of case study.Based on the theory of skilbeck’s school-based curriculum development,combining with the practice of the school’s school-based curriculum development,the school’s school-based curriculum development includes four stages: curriculum preparation,curriculum plan preparation,curriculum implementation,curriculum supervision and curriculum evaluation.Through to the development of school-based curriculum in teachers,curriculum management,some parents for observation and interviews,from the understanding of real situation in the development of school-based curriculum problems and difficulties in the various sectors,and to analysis the causes of these problems,combining theory and practice can improve the school-based curriculum development and management of reflection and insights.Through practical research,it is found that K Primary School has the following problems in the process of school-based curriculum development: the setting of curriculum objectives is relatively broad;The participants and managers of school-based curriculum development lack professional guidance;Insufficient awareness of course development among course participants and management;There is a lack of effective supervision and management mechanism in the course of implementation.The curriculum evaluation system is not perfect.Combined with the problems in practice and related theories,this study provides corresponding problems reflection and improvement suggestions for the improvement of K Primary School’s school-based curriculum development from the aspects of the school’s internal curriculum development and management system as well as the policy support from the relevant education administrative departments outside the school. |
