The Treatment Of Recursion In Translating Academic Text

The translator chooses the fifth chapter of Digital Business Strategies in Blockchain Ecosystems as the text to finish the thesis,describes the translation problems and difficulties encountered in the academic text and recursion,and mainly summarizes the corresponding solutions,translation methods and techniques in the translation report.The original text is a scientific and rigorous book with detailed examples and data.It is rich in liner recursion and embedded recursion.Therefore,translation of these two types of recursion becomes necessary and prominent.During this process,the translator needs to not only pay attention the preciseness and accuracy of translation expression,but also illustrate the level and sentence structure of the original text.In order to deal with the above problem,the translator adopts literal translation method and free translation method and some translation techniques,such as addition,omission,conversion of parts of speech and annotation according to the context.In this thesis,the author summarizes the translation strategies and methods of recursion phenomenon in academic texts with a detailed analysis through translation examples,explains the related components and structures of recursion in detail,and hopes to provide some reference and help for the translation of liner recursion and embedded recursion in future academic texts.
