| "Admired by chivalry" has long been a traditional psychology in China.The chivalrous men who fight for righteousness and destroy the tyrants are loved by the world.The chivalrous women image is a special group,they reflect the characteristics different from other chivalrous men,but also quite popular with readers.The images of chivalrous women were abundant in the "Tang Dynasty Legacy",and reached the peak of creation in the Ming and Qing dynasties.At this time,the chivalry image had a variety of artistic manifestations,but most of them were attached to men or returned to the family,such as Shisan Mei in the Heroes of Sons and Sons,Sha Fengxian and Sha Qiukui in the Three Chivalries and Five Yights.However,in the five foil swords of fairy chivalry published in Shanghai at the end of the Qing dynasty,chivalry is taken as the main character,and the plot of the novel is developed by chivalry Bai Suyun,Xue Feixia and Hua Shanshan,the chivalry characters promote the development of the plot,and the chivalry is born from the plot of chivalry.Through the description of the female chivalry life and character experience,the author shows the readers the plight of women’s life in the late Qing dynasty,and expresses that women change their destiny by virtue of the way of chivalry and cultivation through the creation of the fairy chivalry world.The thesis consists of three parts: introduction,text and conclusion.The introduction part is the reason and significance of this topic as well as the previous research on the image of chivalrous women,focusing on the important value and shortcomings of the existing results,and constructing the focus of the research on the image of chivalrous women in Xianxia Five Foil.The text consists of four chapters.The first chapter introduces Sun Yusheng,the author of "Five Foil Swords of Xianxia" and his purpose of creating the novel,analyzes the value and significance of the world of Xianxia described in the novel,and reveals that the world of Xianxia plays three roles in the novel: rescuer,teacher,and provider of Xianxia sword and divine medicine.The second chapter is the focus of this paper.Firstly,it traces the origin of the chivalry image and sorts out the chivalry image from ancient times to the end of Qing dynasty.Secondly,it will analyze the female chivalry images in the novel,and analyze and study the female chivalry images such as Red Line in the novel.By comparing with the female images in the Tang legends,we can see the inheritance and development of the characters and narrative art of the Tang legends in the Five Foil.Comparatively speaking,Bai Suyun,Xue Feixia,Hua Shanshan and Xue Zhen,the three female chivalries in the fairy five foil swords,have good qualities and character characteristics,such as loyalty and filial piety,regard oneself as one’s life,and repay one’s kindness to one’s kindness,which is more characteristic of The Times.From the third chapter the author time women’s status,women has long been materialized secular ideas,the Ming and Qing dynasties women’s chastity view,whore and prosperity of the late Qing dynasty,women’s talents with dimensions such as spiderman mood,take care of the author’s woman misery,singular experience and personality changes,reveals the complexity of the concept of woman in works extremely social factors.The fourth chapter is the literary value and social significance of Xianxia’s entry into the world and the image of Xianxia.Reveals the complexity of the female chivalry--under the guidance of the chivalry,she is no longer a weak woman to be attacked by others.She can not only be independent from the world but also contribute to the society.The Qing dynasty was the peak period for the creation of chivalry images,especially in the late Qing dynasty when the society was undergoing drastic changes.The great changes of social life also affected the creation of chivalry literature.The female chivalry image in the Five Foil of Xianxia also embodies its unique characteristics and value.This study goes deep into the neglected aspects of literature in the late Qing dynasty,which can help us understand the thoughts and emotions of women and chivalrous women and the social psychology of pursuing chivalry in the late Qing dynasty. |
