The Study On The Configural System Of Zhou Wen In Shuo Wen

At present,Zhou wen of Shuo Wen is recognized that the most similar to the original shape of Shi Zhou Pian,and which also have some relationship of deletion and replacement with Xiao zhuan.So Zhou wen is an indispensable part in the development history of Chinese characters,we can regard it as the bridge between Xiao zhuan and the ancient characters.This paper is based on the previous research to analyze the configural characteristic in 228 Zhou wen of Shuo Wen,which include Shuowen by Xu xian and the theory of Chinese character configuration by Wang ning.The analysis of the shape of the character form is aimed at exploring the overall characteristics of the system of the scripture formation with a more scientific research method.For Zhou wen,We splitted the structure and gradation,analyzed the function of components,included the configural characteristic on the synchronic level;Then we compared Zhou wen of Shuo Wen with the character systems of other times on the diachronic level.And we can study the relationship between Zhou wen and Xiao zhuan deeply.In this paper,The first chapter determines the number of Zhou wen of Shuo Wen first,then analyzed the configuration of each individual glyph,and sorted out the sources of the characters with questionable meanings.The third chapter summarizes the characteristics and immature performance of Zhou wen’s system based on the second chapter.Finally,we explored the relationship which called “some parts are omitted or changed” between Zhou wen and Xiao zhuan carefully.Although Zhou wen of Shuo Wen are are not completely equivalent to Zhou wen of Shi Zhou Pian,most of the glyphs still retain their unique style.Through synchronic quantitative analysis and diachronic contrast induction of the scriptures in Shuo wen,the characteristics of the entire configuration system can be explored.It can also have small effects and help to sort out the context of Chinese character development.
