On The Embodiment Of Director Consciousness In Documentary Creation

Compared with fictional feature films,the essence of documentary films is the restoration of objective images,which requires recording the true nature of life as photography.A documentary is a film that emphasizes its special orientation or puts forward a special point of view on the factual material presented."emphasizing the special orientation" and "presenting the special point of view" mean to select the real material with purpose,which involves the whole writing intention of the director.Real material involves the subject’s Lens Performance and communication with the subject.Based on the graduation work The Masseur with Guitar,and with reference to several excellent documentaries of the same genre,this paper attempts to explore how the writer and director communicate with the subjects in the process of documentary creation,and through other means to achieve the director’s consciousness of implantation and display.
