| Objective:Since 2010,metacognition research has been an important subject in psychology,education,language and other disciplines.This paper focuses on the perspective of psychology,to understand the status quo,hot spots and frontiers of metacognition research at home and abroad,and to provide reference for the development of metacognition and mental health in China.Methods:With the help of Excel and visualization software Cite Space,this study conducted bibliometric analysis and content analysis on 415 and 615 literature records on metacognition collected in WOS and CNKI database from 2011 to 2020.Results:1 From the perspective of the number of published papers,in recent years,foreign studies on metacognition have shown a wave-like growth,with an overall surge in vitality,which has attracted extensive attention from scholars.In China,there is an overall downward trend.2011-2015 is the stable period of meta-cognition research,and 2020 is the lowest peak of research.2 In terms of the number of articles published by authors,the difference between domestic and foreign prolific authors is not great.In terms of the number of authors,foreign authors are obviously more than domestic authors.From the perspective of the cooperative relationship between authors,the overall cooperation intensity at home and abroad is still relatively low,and a relatively small cooperative network has been formed abroad,while the domestic cooperation is mostly pairwise.Lysaker Ph has been published the most abroad,forming the research team of Kornell N and Souchay with Dunlosky J as the center,and a small academic group with Metcalfe J and Smith JD as the center,Kornell N and Rhodes MG as the center.Most of the prolific authors in China come from Zhejiang Normal University,and a cooperative team of Li Ping,Zhang Yuchi,Ouyang Lin and Li Fengying has been formed with Li Weijian as the core.3 Countries and institutions with a high volume of publications are mostly concentrated in developed countries such as the United States and the United Kingdom;University of London,University of California system,Zhejiang Normal University,Liaoning Normal University for the main research forces at home and abroad.The main research institutions in China are relatively single,most of which come from normal universities in the east and central regions,and there are other independent research institutions abroad,such as the Ministry of Human Affairs and the Health Administration.In foreign studies,the number of published papers is not directly proportional to the degree of cooperation between institutions,but there is little cooperation between domestic institutions.4 There are relatively rich research hotspots on metacognition in foreign countries,showing a trend of diversity and cross-discipline,including metacognition,decision making,consciousness,executive function,etc.China mainly focuses on using metacognitive monitoring and metacognitive intervention technology to improve learning performance,often taking learning judgment and learning time allocation as the main indicators of metacognitive monitoring.5 In the research frontier,foreign researchers turn to study the cognitive neural mechanism and physiological mechanism of the brain and cortex of metacognition.Learning judgment and metacognitive monitoring are the frontiers of current domestic research.The domestic frontiers are highly targeted,and the research frontiers are highly consistent with the hot spots.Conclusion:Compared with foreign countries,there are some differences in the number of prolific authors,research institutions and the degree of cooperation,as well as the research hotspots and frontiers of metacognition in China.Therefore,it is necessary to actively seek for cooperation and exchange between countries and institutions,improve the metacognitive system,and build a metacognitive development system with its own characteristics. |
