| Cultural and creative industry is an emerging industry represented by knowledge-intensive and creative-intensive industries,which plays an engine role in the economic development of various countries.In China,with the deepening reform of the cultural system,the pace of cultural and creative industry development is accelerated.Learning excellent cultural and creative industry experience and development mode is conducive to promote the further development of China’s cultural and creative industry.However,the research on text translation is still scattered at home and abroad,and it is necessary to expand the research in this field.The original text of this translation practice report is Creative Industries and Innovation in Europe,which is an informative text(industry report).The author extracts two chapters from the book “Why do creative industries cluster?” and the “Complexity geography and the rise of the green creative city” as the research object.Guided by Newmark’s communicative translation theory,and combined with the actual selection of appropriate translation methods and strategies,specific case analysis has been carried out from three levels of vocabulary,sentence and text to ensure the accuracy and authenticity of the translation.It is concluded that Newmark ’ s communicative translation theory is suitable for informative texts.For the translation of terminology,the methods of meaning extension and meaning selection can be adopted.For sentence and text translation,amplification,free translation and omission can be flexibly used to ensure the cohesion and coherence of the translation.It is hoped that this translation practice report can provide some theoretical guidance for relevant texts and the translation practice text can provide convenience for cultural industry experts.What’s more,it can help scholars understand cultural and creative industries and promote the development of cultural and creative industries in China. |
