Dave Brubeck is a famous jazz pianist and composer of America in the 20 th century.The paper is based on Points on Jazz for two-pianos by Brubeck,which contains eight variations in different styles.By focusing on the individualized characteristics of harmony in Points on Jazz,this paper analyzes the elements of jazz harmony involved,and demonstrates the relationship between jazz harmony and traditional harmony in this work.The paper carries on research from four respects——Modal Feature,Chord Structure,Chord Pattern and Musical Structure.
