| Secondary vocational students are an important part of the student group in China.The secondary vocational entrance examination is an elective examination,which aims to select skilled talents and effectively distinguish the academic level of secondary vocational students.This paper is based on all the real reading tests selected from the English subject of secondary vocational entrance examination(2014-2020)as the research object and the theoretical model of communicative competence,combined with the requirements of the secondary vocational entrance examination outline and the teaching syllabus of the secondary vocational entrance examination on the reading ability of fresh vocational students.This paper adopts the method of qualitative and quantitative research to study the content validity of all the real reading questions of Chongqing secondary vocational entrance examination(2014-2020).Based on the task feature framework of Bachman and Palmer,the validity verification framework of Chongqing secondary vocational English reading tests was reconstructed,and the difficulty of sampling test questions was studied.This paper focuses on the validity of the passage length,reading speed,stylistic presentation,genre,topic,vocabulary and the difficulty of sentence and syntax in the English reading tests of Chongqing secondary vocational entrance examination(2014-2020),and it also focuses on the the correlation between English reading tests of Chongqing secondary vocational entrance examination(2014-2020)and the Chongqing secondary vocational entrance examination outline description and the secondary vocational entrance examination teaching syllabus.This paper uses SPSS software to make a systematic statistical analysis of the text’s length,reading speed,topic,style,vocabulary,sentence and syntactic difficulty,so as to effectively evaluate the validity of the English reading tests of the secondary vocational entrance examination.This study focuses on the study of reading tests after the English reform of the entrance examination for secondary vocational schools in2014 and evaluates the content from seven aspects and points out the problems in the real tests according to the Chongqing secondary vocational entrance examination outline description and the secondary vocational entrance examination teaching syllabus,and combined with the essence of the reading for the test research.Finally,in view of the analysis of the reading test results of the secondary vocational entrance examination,the author puts forward some feasible suggestions on the content regulation of English reading test in secondary vocational schools.Through research,I finally came to the following conclusions:First,the Chongqing paper reading test of secondary vocational and higher vocational English is relatively high,which is feasible.Through the analysis,the design of Chongqing paper reading test of secondary vocational and higher vocational English is reasonable and in line with the English level of this year’s secondary vocational students,which is basically in line with the reading requirements of the secondary vocational entrance examination outline description and teaching syllabus,comprehensively tests the reading ability of secondary vocational students,and the knowledge coverage is comprehensive and reasonable.At the same time,examination papers from 2014 to 2020,reading propositions have become more mature in the control of discourse variables,the test has considerable stability and continuity,and the overall quality of the test questions has been improving year by year.Second,through comparative analysis and validity verification,many factors(discourse difficulty,sentence length,vocabulary,style,etc.)related to the validity of the test were discovered.This paper finds out the characteristics of the factors that affect the quality of reading test questions and formulates the corresponding reasonable and feasible regulation methods according to these characteristics by controlling the single variable of the test.At the same time,the principles and directions of content validity control have strong practical value for guiding the proposition practice.They can not only serve as a reference for the English reading comprehension propositions of the secondary vocational entrance examination in the future,but also serve as a reference for other reading tests of the same level and type.Third,the research has also brought some useful suggestions and enlightenment for improving English reading teaching and optimizing English reading test in the secondary vocational entrance examination. |
