Research On Zhu Xianbi’s Piano Teaching In "The Theory Of Music Teaching In Higher Normal Colleges And Universities"

Zhu Xianbi,a famous Guizhou piano educator,has taught piano for more than sixty years and has rich experience in art theory and practice.She has paid great attention to the music education of Chinese normal colleges and the construction of teaching system,and persevered with teaching theories and practices in regard to“western music sinicization” and “adjusting Chinese and western music to normal education”.Zhu Xianbi’s opinion of “The Chinese elementary education-oriented reform in higher normal piano teaching” advocated in The Theory of Music Teaching in Higher Normal Colleges and Universities,and her relevant teaching ideas and methods putting into practice,have made far-reaching significance in promoting the reform of piano teaching in higher normal students.This paper,starting with Zhu Xianbi’s music journey,analyzes Zhu’s teaching example of Rondo,which is on the basis of Zhu’s higher piano teaching research in The Theory of Music Teaching in Higher Normal Colleges and Universities.From the analysis,we can get a glimpse of Zhu Xianbi’s piano teaching ideas and teaching methods.This paper includes four parts:Part one: Sketch Zhu Xianbi’s music journey based on the content of her interview and briefly introduce her study and work experience in three provinces and four areas in China,which have made great influence on her musical thoughts.Part two: Overview The Theory of Music Teaching in Higher Normal Colleges and Universities and brief introduce contents and perspectives in the book,trying to conclude Zhu’s piano teaching characteristics and style.Part three: Research on piano teaching.This part tries to reveal Zhu’s special method in the piano teaching of higher normal students from her perspectives on teaching concepts,teaching thoughts,teaching characteristics and so on.Part four: Take Rondo as an example to analyze Zhu Xianbi’s piano teaching method.She integrates her teaching theory into the teaching practice of “Rondo”,which indicates a new direction for me in the improvement of piano playing ability and knowledge transferring ability.
