| This translation report originates from the translation of collected papers titled with Teaching Language and Teaching Literature in Virtual Environments with a Spanish editor.In these collected papers,applications of the virtual environments,language,literature and the teaching of language and literature are addressed,as well as the vital importance of virtual environments to language and literature teaching.The translation of collected papers is based on non-literary translation,since the collected papers are characterized by objective description and strong practicability.The target reader of the translation includes teachers and educators committed to the language and literature teaching in virtual environments.This translation report is supported by Skopostheorie of Functional School of Translation and guided by Skopostheorie’s principles of purpose,coherence and fidelity.What’s more,based on non-literary translation theory,this translation report chooses appropriate translation strategies and methods,and discusses the translation of non-literary texts through specific examples.The report mainly discusses the translation of proper nouns and terms,common nouns,passive voice,and long and difficult sentences in non-literary texts,and finally reaffirms the guiding role of Skopostheorie in non-literary texts.In order to analyze the translation report of Teaching Language and Teaching Literature in Virtual Environments,this report is divided into the following five parts.The first part is the introduction,which introduces the background and significance of the selection of the translated texts.The second part analyzes the contents of the source texts and the type of the source texts as well as the translation process of this collection of papers,including three aspects: pre-translation,while translation and post-translation.The third part is developed by the adopted translation theory.Translation theory includes: Skopostheorie and text types,mainly describing Skopostheological principles,and non-literary translation.In the fourth part,the main part of this report,cases of translation difficulties and corresponding translation strategies and methods are listed under the guidance of Skopostheorie and non-literary translation theories.Finally,in the fifth chapter,the translator summarizes the findings and shortcomings of this report. |
