Xu Yang,a court painter of the Qing Dynasty,wrote a long classic documentary custom in the history of ancient Chinese painting.It depicts Suzhou,which was composed of "one village(Shanqian Village),one town(Mudu town),one gate(changmen Street)and one street(Shantang Street)" during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty.In this paper,the first chapter mainly introduces the social background of Xu Yang’s life and the general situation of the courtyard Paintings during the Qianlong period;the second chapter combs Xu Yang’s life experience and the creation and circulation of the picture of prosperous Suzhou;the third chapter makes a close reading and analysis of all kinds of landscape elements from the four aspects of landscape topography,architectural elements,traffic elements,and garden sketches;the fourth chapter analyzes all kinds of landscape elements through the textile industry In the fifth chapter,it analyzes the artistic characteristics of the painting from three aspects: the combination of virtual and real landscape elements,the delicacy of composition and the diversity of techniques.Among them,the fourth and fifth chapter is the focus of the full text.We think that Xu Yang successfully showed the prosperity of Suzhou at that time,achieved the purpose of personal praise,and showed the prosperous scene of all living beings living and working in peace and contentment under the reign of Qianlong.Of course,behind the prosperous picture of Gusu is the weak growth of the old empire and the plight of the whole people.
