A Study Of Scar Literature From The Perspective Of Marxist Humanism

The history of human development is the history of human striving as well.The human being,as the first element,is the main subject of social history.Therefore,the development of Marxist humanitarianism,based on criticizing and sublating all the previous humanitarianism rises in response to the proper time and conditions.The development of Marxist humanitarianism is not only the theoretical achievement of Marxist theory in the terms of ‘human’.It is also the exact pointing of Marxism to the fundamental characteristics of ‘human’in the communist society.The development of Marxist humanitarianism in China has been the focus of research and exploration among Chinese academic community.During the 1970 s and1980s,debate on Marxism and Humanitarianism has erupted among Chinese academic community,especially the exploration and clarification of the relationship between them.It has profoundly influenced the cognition of the relationship between them among Chinese academic community.On this basis of resurrection of human nature in Marxist humanitarianism,this thesis explores scar literature.Scar literature takes human as the center.Just like Marx and Engels,when Gu Hua and Zhou Keqin wrote these two works,they paid full attention to the proletarian people and the general public.They regarded people-oriented concept as the foundation of their literary creation.They focused on the development of people and exposed people under the oppression in the society and contradictions of people at that time.They explored how to heal people’s spiritual trauma,which is the path of elevating and remodeling.It conveys timely and accurately the theme that reaches people’s expectation under the social background.It emphasizes the importance of human beings and finally realizes resurrection of human nature.From the perspective of historical materialism,scar literature presents three stages of resurrection of human nature in this period.From the perspective of animal metaphor and the contradictions of human beings,it reveals the human and suffering of the people.Therefore,it begins to seek molding of human and healing mechanism.Besides,it re-establishes the identity of human and praises people from the material and spiritual dimensions.Finally,it realizes the resurrection of human nature through returning to true love and repairing the wounded dignity.People are hopeful to bright future.This is a powerful way to explore the resurrection of Marxist humanist,which is the literary practice of scar literature.It guides people to devote themselves to the practice of socialist construction and seek the free and all-round development of the human being.Scar literature plays an important role in socialist construction.This is an important manifestation of serving the people,realizing the healing and reshaping of people and guiding people to seek future development.This thesis takes two novels “A Small Town Called Hibiscus” and “Xumao and His Daughters” as research object.Taking Marxist humanitarianism as its theoretical base,widely Absorbing relevant literature information,it analyzes the development and resurrection of human among scar literature works.It highlights the importance of literature to focus on ordinary people.Furthermore,it explores the value and significance of Marxist humanism in contemporary literary creation.
