This article uses the interactive relationship between animation and theater as an argument, and industrialized ruins as its internal logic.Place individuals and collectives in the ruins of industry to perform and create a public theater. The internal connection between the theater in the animation and the animation in the theater is exactly the theme I want to discuss, and the power plant ruins are the bond of the whole theme. When the power plant evolves into ruins,it becomes a stage and a landscape, which is related to urban space,The relationship between public theater and experimental animation has become the content of exploration. The public theater here refers to the concept of public space as a theater.Industrial ruins belong to a kind of public space, and I use it as a public theater to create.Animation and theater are created under fiction.Making fiction does not mean telling a story. It refers to dismantling and retelling-the connection between logo and image, between image and era,and logo and space.Fiction blurs the boundaries that define its own actions.Art is no longer just to create works or objects, but to create short-lived environments, moving the boundaries of art. This article is mainly composed of seven chapters: the first chapter is an introduction, and the second chapter proposes that industrial power plants become ruins, leading to the formation of industrial ruins and an aesthetic style of public landscape. The third chapter introduces the concept of public space as a theater using Pina Bosch’s "stage theater" concept, and puts forward the viewpoint of using the public space of the power plant as an immersive theater.Chapter 4 uses the case of Kentridge to introduce the performance of animation elements in the stage theater, and uses the case of the AES+F group to introduce the application of my theatricalization in animation creation. Finally,it discusses several performances of theater in animation. This leads to the concept from animation to "theatre animation".Chapter 5 explores the interactive relationship between animation and theater from the three levels of context and thought, sensibility and reason, and society and individual. The sixth chapter elaborates on my personal work,"Rhapsody in the World" is a retrospect and recollection of my childhood growing up in a power plant. It is also a "memorial" for the workers of my father’s generation when they leave the power plant. They are an elegy to the industrial age...The experimental animation with the power plant as the background and the theater performance with the ruins of the power plant as the stage.I will use the experimental animation to interact with the public theater to create. In this work, the power plant workers and the animated characters become the actors on the stage. It is an encounter between collective experience and personal experience,an exploration of the unknown and a sad carnival.Art makes people avoid exile, and music should be played in the ruins. The thesis expounds the relationship between the research of the thesis and the creation of the work from three perspectives: continuity, experimentation and sociality of the work.Chapter Seven,Conclusion.
