| Psychologists have verified that the physical and psychological development of a person is phased.Junior high school students are between the ages of twelve and fifteen,and this period we called "psychological weaning period." At the same time,it is also a key stage for children’s psychological development and value formation.How to help children successfully overcome this change should be the every family and every teacher’s duty and responsibility.Due to the poor English foundation of many students,inappropriate learning methods,family learning environment and the lag of parents’ educational concept,a large part of middle school students in rural areas have lost interest in learning English and have become bored with learning English.ELB means students aren’t able to successfully finish their tasks in English learning.And they don’t know how to deal with stress and they have the negative psychological experience which has the main characteristics of emotional exhaustion、depersonalization and diminished personal accomplishment.Based on a better understanding of the current situation of junior high school students learning English in villages and towns,this paper selects a township middle school with typical characteristics---a middle school in Daokoupu,Dongchangfu District,Liaocheng City,as a research case to investigate and analyze the purpose of this school.The investigation and analysis of 285 students in three years provides a clearer understanding of the current situation of English learning burnout among rural students.At the same time,this article is based on the perception of teacher support theory and basic psychological needs satisfaction theory,and deeply researches the ways and effects of teacher support and basic psychological needs satisfaction on students’ English learning burnout.Using questionnaire survey research methods,the conclusions are as follows:1.There was a common phenomenon of learning burnout in the process of learning English for junior high school students.Although the overall degree of burnout was not high,burnout was very common.The degree of English learning burnout of junior high school students was significantly higher than that of junior one and second grade.There was no obvious difference in English learning burnout between male and female junior high school students.2.The teacher support perceived by the students and English learning burnout were obviously negatively correlated.The satisfaction of students’ basic psychological needs and English learning burnout were also obviously negatively correlated,between the perception of teacher support and the satisfaction of basic psychological needs Analysis and investigation showed that the results were positively correlated.3.The satisfaction of basic psychological needs could play a certain intermediary role in the relationship between perceived teacher support and English learning burnout.This study shows the relationship between perceived teacher’s support,satisfaction of basic psychological needs and English learning burnout,and has a certain guiding role in teachers’ teaching English.Teachers can start to make students feel more teacher’s support,to reduce students’ English learning burnout,and can Promote the satisfaction of students’ basic psychological needs,reduce English learning burnout,and improve teaching level and quality. |
