A Report On The Translation Of The IPRCC Annual Report 2020 ——An Analysis Based On The "Comprehension,Expression And Adaption"(CEA)Analytical Framework

At the beginning of 2021,the author translated IPRCC Annual Report 2020.In 2022,upon graduation,the author reviewed the translation again,revised the previous translation and wrote this report based on the "Comprehension,Expression and Adaption"（CEA）framework proposed by Li Changshuan.Based on the CEA framework,the report analyzes examples to summarize how to solve problems related to comprehension,expression,and adaption.In comprehension,the author resorts to background information,contexts,and parallel texts.In expression,the author makes sure the translation is natural by restructuring unbalanced sentences,adjusting the structure of long sentences,and using plain English.In adaptation,the author analyzes the translation from the aspect of audience awareness and omission of words.This report aims to summarize author’s translation practice experience,improve translation skills and professionalism,and provide references for scientific and technical texts translation.
