| The reading teaching mode of deep learning is a kind of teaching mode that focuses on inspiring students’ thinking,promoting problem solving and carrying out reflection and criticism in reading.In recent years,many scholars have devoted themselves to the study of junior high school English reading teaching,but the current junior high school students are still in a reading state of superficial reading.In order to change this dilemma,this study attempts to further explore the effects on junior high school students’ English reading literacy by using the reading teaching mode of deep learning theory as the theoretical support,so as to make English reading glow with new vitality.In this paper,the specific teaching steps of the mode are discussed in detail,and its effects on junior high school students’ English reading literacy is discussed through the combination of quantitative and qualitative research.Three research questions are mainly solved:(1)What are the effects of reading teaching on junior high school students’ English reading comprehension ability from the perspective of deep learning?(2)What are the effects of reading teaching on junior high school students’ English reading habits from the perspective of deep learning?(3)What are the effects of reading teaching on junior high school students’ English reading experience from the perspective of deep learning?In this study,99 students in grade 8 from two parallel classes of a key junior high school in Nanjing were selected to be the research subjects.One class is EC with 49 students;the other is CC with 50 students.According to the three English reading comprehension articles of their mid-term as the pre-test,there is no significant difference in the two classes’ English reading level before the experiment,which lays the foundation for the follow-up experiment.Before the teaching experiment,the author sent out questionnaires to the two classes to understand the students’ English reading habits and reading experience.After the experiment,the questionnaire is to find out the changes of students in EC on English reading habits and reading experience.In addition,two students from each score segment were randomly selected,and a total of six students were interviewed in turn,so as to provide the necessary supplement for understanding for junior high school students’ English reading habits and reading experience.On the basis of the whole data analysis,it is found that the reading teaching mode based on deep learning theory can improve junior high school students’ English reading literacy.Therefore,three specific conclusions can be drawn:(1)The reading teaching mode from the perspective of deep learning can improve students’ English reading comprehension ability in junior high school.The results showed that the students’ performance was more obvious in the structure questions,detailed questions and reasoning questions.(2)The reading teaching mode from the perspective of deep learning can improve students’ English reading habits in junior high school.Students’ reading behaviors,reading frequency and reading quantity have been significantly improved.(3)The reading teaching mode from the perspective of deep learning can optimize students’ English reading experience in junior high school.Students’ reading attitude,reading interest and selfevaluation have been greatly improved.Through the above findings,it can be concluded that this reading teaching mode will provide a wider reference for the current English reading teaching.Therefore,it requires teachers to pay attention to the following points in reading teaching:(1)Before reading teaching,teachers should make a full preparation,including detailed analysis of students and teaching content,and set good teaching objectives on this basis.(2)In the process of reading teaching,teachers should pay more attention to activate students’ background knowledge,and also focus on the deep processing of knowledge,so as to inspire students’ thinking and improve students’ English core competences.(3)After the reading teaching,the diversity of teaching evaluation methods,evaluation subjects and standards are all worthy of attention.Of course,there are still some limitations in the experimental time and research objects.In the future,this need to further improve the research and make more junior high school students participate in the teaching experiment. |
