English Syllabus of Secondary Vocational Schools requires students to master certain English knowledge and skills.Vocabulary is the foundation of English learning.However,in the current English vocabulary teaching in secondary vocational schools,teachers spend a lot of time and energy in English vocabulary teaching,but the effect is still dissatisfying.Students of secondary vocational schools have poorer abilities,lack of vocabulary discrimination ability and correct learning strategies,which leads to their low English level and loss of interest in English learning.However,many English teachers are affected by traditional teaching methods,and there are fewer opportunities for each student to participate in the class.Therefore,English teaching in secondary vocational schools,especially in vocabulary teaching,it is an urgent need to change the traditional teaching idea and mode and use more suitable for the development of a new era of teaching mode,which can improve the teaching atmosphere in class and enhance the students’ vocabulary learning ability.“A+ ketangpai” is a multi-mode presenting mode,which helps to stimulate students’ interest in learning and also provides teachers with a novel and practical strategy in English vocabulary teaching.This thesis attempts to explore the feasibility of “A+ ketangpai” in English vocabulary teaching of secondary vocational schools by applying “A+ ketangpai” to English vocabulary teaching of secondary vocational schools through the vocabulary characteristics of English textbooks for secondary vocational schools.Based on multimodal theory,constructivism theory and cognitive theory,this study mainly discusses the following two issues:(1)What is the effect of the application of “A+ ketangpai” in English vocabulary teaching in secondary vocational schools on students’ interest in learning ?(2)What is the effect of the application of “A+ ketangpai” in English vocabulary teaching in secondary vocational schools on students’ vocabulary learning ability?In order to solve the above research problems,the experimental class adopts “A+ketangpai” to use in vocabulary teaching,while the control class still uses the traditional method for vocabulary teaching.The author analyze statistics and make the analysis of questionnaire,test data before and after the experiment,and interviews with students through SPSS23.0.And in order to provide cross-validation for the data collected from the questionnaire survey and the test results.The results show that: 1)The students from experimental class which use “A+ketangpai” in vocabulary teaching has improved their interest a little bit in vocabulary learning interest.However,the students in the control class who still used the traditional teaching method showed no significant improvement this aspect.2)Due to the application of “A+ ketangpai” in English vocabulary teaching,the English vocabulary learning ability of students in the experimental class has been improved,while the English vocabulary learning ability of students in the control class who still use the traditional teaching method has not been significantly improved.The results of this study show that it is maybe feasible and effective to apply “A+ ketangpai” to English vocabulary teaching in secondary vocational schools.
