| Dabujiang patchwork embroidery is rooted in the natural resources of southern Hunan.Its products include bibs,children’s hats,belly pockets,straps,patchwork quilts and other daily necessities,reflecting the positive interaction between material life and social life.In the long-term development process,it has integrated with the surrounding areas and ethnic groups,completed the integration of multi culture,and become a comprehensive presentation of traditional cultural concepts.Combining the patterns and techniques of the“intangible cultural heritage”Dabujiang quilting into the design of children’s fabric products with the concept of emotional design,innovative design of children’s fabric products is the focus of this thesis.It illustrates Dabujiang quilting embroidery and children’s fabric products separately,and analyzes the status quo of them through market research and field research.Firstly,through questionnaires,it makes an analysis of the consumer’s use needs,concerns,acceptance and etc.;secondly,it studies the cultural concepts,pattern and color features and folk connotations contained in traditional Dabujiang quilting embroidery.And then according to the psychological characteristics of children,it also studies the design requirements and characteristics that children’s products are supposed to meet,and use children’s toys,playgrounds,and kindergartens in real life as excellent cases to research children’s preferred shapes and colors.Finally,based on the artistic,interesting,and story-telling aspects related to emotions and designs in emotional design,it designs children’s fabric products with Chinese cultural characteristics on the basis of Dabujiang quilting embroidery skills and patterns.The author believes that children’s quilting products have a large consumer group and good market prospects.The innovative designs combining modern children’s fabric products with Dabujiang quilting embroidery not only broadens the aesthetic range of children’s fabric products,but also allows more Consumers to have a better understanding of traditional culture and techniques,The quilting project of Dabujiang intangible cultural heritage will be better inherited and developed.In the process of the design practice,the author kept realizing that the design and development of patchwork embroidery of children’s fabric products should strengthen the excavation of traditional patterns and culture,focus on the applications of product emotion,use innovative ideas,enhancing the contemporary children’s identification with traditional culture,and further cultivate cultural self-confidence and cultural self-awareness. |
