Corpus-based Study On The Distribution Of Meaning Items Of The Cutting Verbs In Modern Chinese

Based on the definition of dictionaries,this paper describes the distribution of the meanings of diced words in modern Chinese by using corpus technique,and explains the reason of its formation by using frame semantics.This paper is divided into three chapters: the first chapter is the introduction,which introduces the basis,research summary,research value,research purpose,research method and corpus source of this paper.the second chapter are the main part of the text,including seven chapters.The main content is as follows:The first chapter takes "CAI(裁)" as the research object,The word “CAI(裁)”adds these three meaning items: "occupy","harvest","hurt" and "kill".The second chapter takes "KAN(砍)" as the research object.The word “KAN(砍)” adds two meaning items: "v.to strike someone with a knife or axe,etc.and cause injury";“v.get point”.The third chapter takes " PI(劈)" as the research object.The word “PI(劈)” adds one meaning items:“crate”.The fourth chapter takes "GUA(刮)" as the research object.The word “GUA(刮)” adds three meaning items: “wipe again and again ” “Drive away ”“have a look”.The fifth Chapter takes "CAI(裁)" as the research object.The word “CAI(裁)”adds one meaning items: "arrange and combine" in modern Chinese dictionary.In the sixth chapter,the intermediate frequency verbs “HUA(划)”“JIAN(剪)”“POU(剖)”“PAO(刨)”“QIE(切)”“TI(剔)”“ZHAN(斩)”.For each intermediate frequency cutting verb,5000 pieces of corpus are extracted from the modern Chinese corpus to establish a balanced corpus of corresponding words.On the basis of the existing dictionary definitions,this paper marks and analyzes the corpus,and obtains the distribution of the meanings of the corresponding words in modern Chinese.In the seventh chapter,the low-frequency words such as “JIAO(铰)”“XIAO(削)”“GUA(剐)”“JU(锯)”“ZHA(铡)”“PIAN(片)”“YI(刈)”“DUO(剁)”“WAN(剜)”“WEN(刎)”“CHAN(铲)”“KUI(刽)”“TI(剃)” were used as the research objects.For each low-frequency cutting word,1000 pieces of corpus were extracted from the modern Chinese corpus to establish a balanced corpus of corresponding words.This paper marks and analyzes the corpus,and obtains the distribution of the meanings of the corresponding words in modern Chinese.the conclusion,summarizes the conclusion of this research,and also summarizes the shortcomings of this research and the space for further expansion.
