Study On The Speech Act Of Refusal In The Uyghur TV Series The Story Of Balati

Refusal speech act is very common in daily communication,but little attention has been paid to it in Uyghur pragmatic study for a long time.Although refusal speech act is a face-threatening speech act,its complexity of reasoning and richness of strategy use make it an important part of interpersonal pragmatics,so it is of great research value.The television series "the story of Bharati" was well received on the KOZNAK video player,and the close-to-life film and television effects ensured the frequent occurrence of verbal acts of rejection in the series.The study of the refusal speech act in the play is of great significance to the understanding of the Uyghur refusal speech act and the development of the Uyghur refusal speech act.This study is based on Austin and Searler’s speech act theory,Sperber ＆Wilson’s relevance theory,Grice’s conversational implicature theory,Leech’s politeness theory and Brown ＆ Levinson’s face theory,in this paper,qualitative analysis,corpus analysis and inductive statistics are used to study the refusal speech act in the story of Balati.According to the inference mechanism,Uygur refusal speech acts can be divided into allegorical refusal speech acts,presupposition refusal speech acts and explicit refusal speech acts.There are 8 content strategies and 11 forms of refusal strategies in Uygur language.Social Rights and social distance are two major social factors that influence the application of refusal strategies.This paper mainly studies the refusal speech act in the Uygur TV play the story of Balati.The first chapter is the introduction,which first explains the origin of the study,then comments on the status of the study of refusal speech act at home and abroad,and then explains the significance of this study,then it explains the research object,the research idea and the method as well as the research object and the source of the corpus.The second chapter is the classification of refusal speech act in Uygur language,focusing on the analysis of how Refusal Speech Act is produced in the story of Balati,guided by relevance theory,based on semantic understanding and pragmatic inference,this paper explains the process of Uighur refusal speech act.The third chapter is the refusal strategy of Uyghur language,by analyzing the Central Speech Act,Auxiliary Speech Act and modifier of the refusal speech act in Uyghur conversation,this paper summarizes the pragmatic strategies followed in the Uyghur speech act of refusal,and provides some reasonable suggestions for the correct implementation of the Uighur speech act of refusal.The fourth chapter is the social factors that influence the refusal strategy of Uygur language,and discusses the influence of social rights and social distance on the choice of refusal strategy.The fifth chapter is the conclusion and reflection.
