Arrangement And Performance Of Works In Jazz Style Through Electronic Organ

Any work cannot be detached from the musical notation when it comes to its performance,because it records the thoughts of composer and channels the change of musical emotions,which appears to be extraordinarily important from the perspective of creation and performance of musical instruments.In the discovering process of electronic organ conducted by researchers,its music has been found to inherit the characteristics of the three-line musical notation of pipe organ.Hence it finally becomes what it is today when its development of the construction of musical instrument and the means of performance is finished.Currently,the playable music score has to be composed on the three-line musical notation of electronic organ no matter what types of the music are performed.The author mainly explores the works of jazz style during his study period.Henceforth,this paper dedicates to concluding and categorizing the composition skills and performance techniques of electronic organ through cases of works of jazz style.This research argues the points in three chapters:Chapter one classifies the origin and development of the music of electronic organ and its basic means of performance,stressing the origin of the three-line musical notation of electronic organ and accenting the inheritance and innovation of its means of performance.Chapter two is the core part of this paper.It reveals the characteristics of composition and ideas of performance for the selected works played on electronic organ through elaborations of three aspects which are bass voice,harmony voice and melody voice.Chapter three explores the general applicability of jazz style composed and played through electronic organ.It mainly deals with the thinking and reflections from the author who focuses on the composition and performance of jazz.Researches find that jazz has to be based upon the characteristics of jazz style when it is correspondent with the three-line musical notation of electronic organ.Among them,there are rhythms characteristics of bass voice,role characteristics of harmony and performance characteristics of melody voice,etc..On the basis of such a fact,this paper intends to provide the valuable theoretical foundation for performers in the future,and meanwhile enrich the researches of relevant studies of electronic organ.
