| With the rapid development of artificial intelligence,big data,and other technologies,smart classroom came into existence.English Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education in China(2022)emphasizes the application of modern education technology and education resources in English teaching.In the digital era,smart classroom is the product of the deep integration of information technology and education which differs from the traditional classroom.Through the creation and construction of a good classroom atmosphere,smart classroom can help optimize teaching content,methods,and teaching evaluation,etc.which can not only stimulate and cultivate students’ interest in self-learning,but also improve students’ enthusiasm and initiative in learning.By analyzing the research results of smart classroom teaching at home and abroad,39 students are taken from grade 9 of Hefei No.45 Middle School Fu Rong Campus.Under the guidance of constructivism theory and Bloom’s taxonomy of educational objectives,this thesis carries out three rounds of action research on the smart classroom teaching design for English reading class in junior middle school.It intends to solve the following three problems:(1)What are the problems of English teaching process in smart classroom environment?(2)Combined with activity-based approach,how should teachers design teaching for junior high school English reading class in smart classroom environment?(3)What is the teaching effect of adjusted English reading teaching design for junior high school in smart classroom environment?To begin with,this thesis analyzes the collected data results to know the problems in the process of smart classroom teaching through using questionnaire survey,interview and classroom observation.The problems are found as follows: sharing fewer resources,ignoring task design before and after class,separating learning activities and interactive functions,and failing to flexibly use the diversified intelligent evaluation system.Subsequently,combined with activity-based approach,the thesis conducts and adapts the teaching design of junior high school English reading class in smart classroom environment in view of problems,which fully plays the advantages of smart classroom teaching to analyze learning situation such as resource sharing and diversified evaluation,etc.Combining teaching activities with smart classroom interactive functions helps create learning contexts for students and promotes teacher-student interaction and student-student interaction.Last but not the least,by analyzing the data of questionnaire and interview,it is found that adjusted and optimized teaching design for English reading class of junior high school in smart classroom environment can stimulate students’ interest in learning English,cultivate students’ self-learning ability,improve classroom participation of students and promote student-orientated education.Through this action research,this thesis not only conducts English teaching design of a junior high school in smart classroom environment practically and summarizes the experience,but also provides a certain reference value for the practitioners of front-line education information in primary and secondary schools to study and implement smart classroom teaching. |
