Li Zhizao’s "Pan Gong Li Yue Shu" draws on the merit of "hooking and collecting lost" of Confucianism and the method of "empirical research" of Western Culture.It not only recorded the etiquette,ritual utensils and ritual music instruments in the memorial ceremony of the Pan palace,but also restored the musical instruments,music temperament and music scores used to worship Confucius.His research achievement were praised as the work of "reviewing the past and proving the present,textual research and comprehensive understanding" by "Si Ku Ti Yao" This paper discussed the theory of music temperament recorded in Volume IV of Pan Gong Li Yue Shu from the perspective of music temperament,and explored Li Zhizao’s view of music temperament and the method of restoring "rites and music of Pan palace"...
