A Study Of Reduplicated Words In Vernacular Short Stories In The Ming Dynasty

The vernacular short stories in the Ming Dynasty have become an important corpus to explore the modern Chinese vocabulary because of their strong spoken language,easy-to-understand language and rich vocabulary.Taking the reduplicated words in the vocabulary of the vernacular short novels of the Ming Dynasty as the research object,this thesis forms the vocabulary corpus of the vernacular short stories of the Ming Dynasty,on the basis of which the word segmentation practice and word frequency statistics are carried out,it concludes the list of reduplicated words and the list of word frequency in the vernacular short stories of the Ming Dynasty,and finally describes the reduplicated words in terms of word formation and configuration according to the list of words,it fully reveals the true appearance of reduplicated words in Ming Dynasty.The thesis consists of six chapters and can be divided into four parts:Part Ⅰ（Chapter Ⅰ）: Introduction.This thesis introduces the object of study,summarizes the present situation of the study on the reduplicated words in the vernacular short stories of the Ming Dynasty and Modern Chinese,expounds the related concepts of the reduplicated words,clarifies the defining standards of the reduplicated words.A brief explanation of the rationale and significance of the chosen topic and an explanation of the article’s research methodology.Part Ⅱ（Chapter Ⅱ）: Corpus Statistics.This thesis mainly deals with the word segmentation and Corpus indexing of reduplicated words in the vernacular short stories of the Ming Dynasty.Firstly,the basis of word segmentation is determined,and the difficulties in word segmentation are analyzed.Secondly,the word indexing is introduced,and the reduplicated words are indexed,describe the general situation of reduplicated words in a macroscopic way.Part Ⅲ（Chapters Ⅲ TO Ⅴ）: Body.Divided into three chapters to describe,mainly discusses the Ming Dynasty Vernacular Short Stories reduplicated word categories,word formation,characteristics and the use of rules.The third chapter is divided into two-syllable,three-syllable and four-syllable reduplicated words from the angle of phonetics,part of speech and semantic meaning,at the same time,compared with ancient times,the three-syllable reduplicated words have developed greatly,and the part-of-speech is divided into Noun,verb,adjective,quantifier and Onomatopoeia reduplicated words,and it is concluded that the frequency of reduplicated words of adjective is the highest,from the semantic point of view,the reduplicated words are mainly divided into character description,scenery description and sound imitation meaning,which shows the characteristics of reduplicated words in vernacular short stories of Ming Dynasty with rich semantic meaning and various expressions,from the internal structure of the three types of reduplicated words,the internal structure of the reduplicated words is gradually from dispersion to solidification,and from the meaning of the three types of reduplicated words,the word meaning is basically unchanged before and after the formation,the fifth chapter expounds the features of reduplicated words in the vernacular short stories of the Ming Dynasty in terms of syllable structure,part of speech category,rhetoric expression,etc.,although the number of high-frequency words is small,but the frequency is high,although the number of low-frequency words,but the frequency is low.Part Ⅳ（Chapter Ⅵ）: Conclusion.The first few parts of the reduplicated word review of a brief summary of the conclusions,clear ideas for the next step.
