The Research Of The Establishment Of Wu And Southern Tang Dynesty

After the chaos in the end of Tang Dynasty,Wu and Southern Tang Dynasty was established by the political and geographical evolution.At the same time,this region which Huainan military governor in the late Tang was the main body,started to change:from a region of central dynasty（Huainan military governor）,developed into a dynasty（South Tang Dang）which rule Huainan,Jiangxi and part of Jiangnan.This establishment of Wu and Southern Tang was due to the gradual collapse of the dynasty order since the end of the Tang Dynasty.How did the region establish a new dynasty system order,the process of political development,is the object of focusing on this article.The first chapter discusses Huainan issues in the middle and late Tang,and Gao Pian’s measures to dominate Huainan.After the AnShi Rebellion,Huainan was Tang’s finicial center,however in the end of Tang Dynasty,Huainan conflicted with the court,which had a big relationship with Gao Pian.During his Huainan period,he was affected by the subordinate,and failed to effectively hit Huang Chao,so he was tense with the court.Since then,measures had been taken:using the literati with commercial background and borrowing religious name to strengthen Gao’s authority.However,because Huainan had not left the attributes of the military governor,the military commander was still very large,Gao failed and eventually suffered the rebellion.Therefore,he was also named "betrayal,trusting Villain" by historians.But in Gao’s period,Huainan become a independent political entity.The second chapter discusses that Huainan has become the process of competitive fields,that’s also the establishment and development of Wu Dynasty.After Gao Pian,Yang Xingmi who was the warlord of LuZhou,got Huainan,XuanShe and RunChang three regions,and then he laid the Wu,after many years of hegemony.Wu then gradually occupied Jiangxi.With the rise of Yang Xingmi and the expansion of Wu,the regime gradually formed several regional factions.That is,Yang Xing Mi’s old unit called the Huaixian Department,the Huaidong Department,the Southern Department,and the Jiangnan Department which people from the south of the Yangtze River.Specifically,although Yang Xingmi won Huainan,he distrust these military commanders,especially the three martial arts of his most trusted,so that he no longer trusts the Huaixi absolutely.During the period of war,many northerners joined Yang Xingmi’s hegery and became another power,as important as Huaixi.At this point,two major parts had formed,by Yang Xingmi’s measures.After Yang Xingmi’s death,his old officer Xu Wen was holding the regime.Xu used Yang Xingmi’s strategy,continue drawing Northern people.And he crowded the Huaixi general,initially established his own officers.But because the credible person is too small,and the clear support of the Huaixi people cannot be obtained,Xu Wen has never been able to replace Wu.These are all indicated that in this process,the strength out of Huaijiang region was great in some ways.The third chapter discusses that Xu Zhigao assimilated different factions,and formed his own group to replace Wu State.Xu Wen’s adopted son Xu Zhigao,came into the center through the’Zhu Yun incident’,constantly absorbed Huaidong,north and Jiangnan.Through the integration,Xu Zhigao improved and established the ’Qi Kingdom’.Especially for the extensive absorption of Jiangnan sentiatrics,the rule was further expanded.This is an important process of the Huaijiang region to the Dynasty.This shows that the production of local politics is constructed from all parties forces in the flow.The fourth chapter discusses the ways of the establishment and legitimacy propaganda.In this process,the military gradually subsidize.The literati accounted for the dominance of Huaijiang regime;the Huaixi people were no longer the main force of the regime,the Northern and Jiangnan people became the main regional faction;through Xu Zhigao’s intentional promotion,"Huainan"area notion changed to "Tang" concept,from the evolution of the political power to an empire with the world.To the establishment of Nantang,the transformation of Huaijiang area ended temporaryly.The strife in Nantang was the important embodiment of this transformation.This eaasy intends to analyze the road of the establishmnet of Wu and Southern Tang Dynasty,hoping to explore how local politics was produced and how a new Dynasty system was found after the end of a grand unification dynasty system.After the Tang Dynasty’s collapse,local politics still had vitality.Wu and Nan Tang showed that this was undoubtedly important for reconstructing the China Unity Dynasty.
