Research On The Contemporary Way Of Curating Tra Ditional Art In Shanghai

In recent years,with the vigorous development of museums and exhibitions,the curatorial industry has also received increasing attention,and related theories and practices are in full swing.As a pioneer in the museum industry,Shanghai launched the “First Shanghai Power Station of Art Young Curator Program” in 2014,relying on Shanghai’s international influence to create an excellent communication platform for young curators and artists.However,most of the theories related to curation focus on the field of contemporary art.At the practical level,the planning of traditional art exhibitions is often completed by the museum’s in-house exhibition staff,and some problems are also revealed in its content planning and form design,such as the content being too academic,the formal design is slightly flimsy,and the curatorial method is old-fashioned.At the same time,there have been many traditional art exhibitions at home and abroad using relatively new curatorial methods,especially in Shanghai.So,what is the significance of curatorial methods to the effect of traditional art exhibitions,what achievements have been made in curatorial practice,and what problems still exist?The development and change of the museum and exhibition industry in Shanghai is a mic rocosm of the evolution of the museum industry in China.This paper uses the methods of literatur e research,field research,case analysis and other methods to study the historical development and exhibition status of museums and traditional art exhibitions in Shanghai,combined with the analy sis of current popular exhibitions,in order to give a reasonable answer to the above problems.
