| Wu Wei is located in the fortress of He Xi Corridor and an important pass on the silk road.As the largest city in Northwest China under the rule of various regimes in medieval times,Wu Wei has a very strong historical and cultural heritage and an important strategic position.Since modern times,there have been a large number of Tang Dynasty Epitaphs unearthed in Wu Wei,most of which have the value of gold and stone documents and historical materials.This paper makes an overall study of the epitaphs of Wu Wei Tang Dynasty unearthed since new China,starting from the three aspects of the origin of the epitaphs,the examination of the history and biography,and the study of calligraphy,using gold and stones to verify the fallacies of classics and history,and using the epitaphs to examine the changes of characters and calligraphy.The first part defines the concept of Wu Wei area and the newly published epitaphs of the Tang Dynasty in this area,combs the origin and concept of the epitaphs,and sorts out the basic shape information of the newly published epitaphs of the Tang Dynasty in Wu Wei and the interpretation of one of the epitaphs without excavation briefing;The second part systematically arranges the epitaphs through the existing documents and newly unearthed materials,and corroborates the cultural significance with the information of four aspects: family nationality,surname origin,religious belief and allusion culture;The third part discusses the writing calligraphy in the epitaph with the variant characters of the epitaph,the calligraphy art of the epitaph cover and the calligraphy art of the epitaph.Due to the special geographical location of Wu Wei and the current academic research on the archaeological and historical value of local epitaphs,this paper can deepen our understanding of the cultural meaning of Wu Wei epitaphs in the Tang Dynasty,and also study the significance of its calligraphy value. |
