The Wushuifang Cui family tomb unearthed in Linzi area is the largest tomb of the Cui family excavated so far,and it is accompanied by a large number of funerary objects. The Cui family epitaph and tomb structure are well preserved and inherited in an orderly manner. The multi-party epitaph information well confirms the accuracy of historical records, reflects the fact that the big family advocated clan burial at that time, and also enriched the understanding of the aristocratic family from multiple perspectives.Research, and more comprehensively restore the face of the big family during the Northern Dynasty. The Wushuifang branch of the Cui clan of Qinghe River moved to Shandong since Murongde. It has developed here for more than a few decades, has a deep foundation, and has close ties with the surrounding local nobles, forming its own cultural characteristics. In particular, the geographical location of Shandong has been very important since ancient times.Because of its location in the tug-of-war between the north and the south, during the Sixteen Kingdoms period,it was ruled by several regimes in the north and south.Especially in the last years of the Northern Dynasty,in the context of political turmoil, the big family had to make a series of corresponding countermeasures to maintain prosperity. The Wushuifang Cui family has gradually weakened since Cui Hongshi. In addition, the turmoil in the last years of the Northern Wei Dynasty made the whole family like a small boat in the sea. Finally,it gradually declined under the successive "strikes",and the same was true for the entire Northern Dynasty.According to historical records,it is obvious that the material and style of epitaphs are declining. The unearthed Qifang Wushuifang Cui’s epitaph has a relatively long time span. The earliest "Cui You Epitaph" and the latest "Cui Bo Epitaph"are separated by more than 60 years, and the styles of the epitaphs are diverse, and there is no regular evolution. The quality of its calligraphy is also uneven, and the fine and inferior epitaphs coexist. The study found that under the complex political background of the Northern Dynasty, all the family members should be aligned with politics, and any political disturbances would make the family deal with it carefully. Therefore, this article aims to combine historical materials and unearthed family epitaphs, through a comprehensive analysis of the epitaph material, information and style of writing,to understand the cultural heritage of a large family, and to restore the "incapacity of the family" in the political turmoil in the late Northern Dynasty from different perspectives.By yourself" face.
