Metaphor Of Life In Contemporary Painting

This paper attempts to summarize the more essential state of contemporary life existence through the method of knowledge archaeology of modern philosophy and classical philosophy,and connects with the practice of modern and contemporary painting.By studying the images of "life metaphor" in modern and contemporary paintings,using the methods of iconology and knowledge archaeology,From the image in the picture and the metaphor and practice behind the canvas,this paper explores the metaphor for the essential appearance of life presented in the creation of different artists and the life forms produced in different periods.This paper briefly analyzes the composition of images in artists’ paintings and their social attributes in the contemporary era,and relates the painting motivations of the metaphor of life in personal creation by referring to the works of Francis Bacon and Annish Kapoor and the theories of Giorgio Agamben.The author puts forward his personal opinion that contemporary painting should pay more attention to and think about the essential life subject and construct visual language symbol.
