With the booming of the domestic new independent publishing industry, photography occupies half of the publishing industry.Independent publication is the self-expression of the creator. This creation does not consider commercial market factors, but it hopes that the audiences can feel the ideology and emotions in it.While the process of emotional experience is mainly stimulated by the visual part of the photobook,it is necessary to do research on how to make ideology and emotions convey from the perspective of visual design.Only through paying attention to visual performance, independently published photobooks can better convey the ideas and feelings to readers. The purpose of the study is to summarize the visual design methods of the independently published photobooks by analyzing design cases of photobooks from the perspective of emotional experience.Meanwhile,it provides theoretical references for future research and specific design practice of independently published photobook.Emotional experience design plays a vital role in product design related to art expression. And there is no evaluation index for in-depth analysis of emotional experience in the study. As the emerging independent publishing industry in China is in a vigorous development stage, future research should focus on the study of the personal work with fewer commercial factors from the perspective of emotional communication, explore and improve relevant design methods on the basis of quantitative emotional experience, and realize the emotional transmission from the work to the reader more effectively, build a higher-quality independent publishing photography industry.
