The Application Of Traditional Chinese Patterns In Animation ——Take The Water Pattern As An Example

After a century of development,China’s animation industry has gradually occupied an important position in the entertainment market.In this process,China’s animation art once lagged behind foreign countries because of losing its own characteristics.Today’s Chinese animation should combine traditional culture and make use of its own advantages to create works with Chinese characteristics in order to deal with the impact of the international market.Taking water pattern as an example,this paper explores the feasibility of traditional pattern application in animation.Firstly,this paper summarizes the development,advantages and disadvantages of Chinese animation.Secondly,it combs the classification and development of water patterns,analyzes the rich meaning of water images in Chinese culture,and analyzes the application of traditional water patterns in modern design combined with existing works.Then,using examples,this paper lists the cases of animation works using traditional water patterns at home and abroad,and summarizes the significance of integrating traditional water patterns into animation creation from two aspects of culture and commerce.Finally,by expounding the creative ideas and creative process of the graduation work "infiltration",the creative practice of the combination of traditional water pattern and animation art is carried out.Take Ma Yuan’s twelve water pictures as the creative basis,take installation art as the display medium,and integrate 2D and 3D technical means to analyze and display more possibilities of traditional water patterns in animation works.Under the background of the vigorous development of animation industry,this paper focuses on the combination of traditional water pattern and animation art.Break the inherent thought of animation creation and make a special exploration on the topic of the combination of water pattern and animation.Keep up with the pace of the times and take the traditional pattern as the main object of creation,in order to provide weak practical experience for the combination of Chinese animation and traditional culture and contribute to the dissemination of traditional culture.
