This paper explores the influence of Chu suiliang’s calligraphy style in the early Tang Dynasty through the study of the calligraphy art of the epitaph of Mrs.Gu Wang of the Tang Dynasty.Because the epitaph was unearthed late,most of the current research focuses on the study of politics,economy and culture in the early Tang Dynasty,and there are still a few studies on the influence of Chu style calligraphy.This paper explores the influence of Chu style calligraphy in the early Tang Dynasty by means of seeing the big from the small.This paper is divided into three chapters.The first chapter is the historical and cultural analysis of the epitaph of Mrs.Wang in the Tang Dynasty.Through the interpretation of the epitaph,we can understand the life stories of the tomb owner,and analyze its relevant historical and cultural connotation,including its family lineage and the interpretation of "Cliff tomb culture".The second chapter focuses on the analysis of the calligraphy artistic characteristics of the epitaph of Mrs.Wang in the Tang Dynasty,compares it with Chu suiliang’s calligraphy style and other epitaphs in the same period,and summarizes its characteristics in pen,structure and composition;Then through the phenomenon to see the essence,this paper analyzes the influence of Chu style calligraphy style on the society at that time.The third chapter is the copying and creative thinking of the epitaph of Mrs.Wang in the Tang Dynasty.It is also a key chapter.Through repeated copying and learning of the epitaph,we analyze its pen and structure,and then analyze the inspiration for our own creation in combination with our own situation.Combine his pen,structure and composition with his own writing skills to explore the enlightenment to his creative works.
