Investigation And Research On Traditional Residential Architecture In Dawan Village Of Songtao In Guizhou Province

Traditional residential buildings are the product of human material and spiritual civilization,and reflect the material carrier of social culture.The article takes the traditional vernacular architecture of Dawan village in Songtao,Guizhou Province as the research object,drawing on the methods and research achievements of architecture,anthropology,ethnology and other disciplines.This paper summarizes and analyzes the traditional vernacular architecture culture of Dawan Village,and provides local cases for enriching the study of traditional folk architecture.The article is divided into four parts,including five chapters.The first three chapters are mainly about the generation environment,architectural styles,construction techniques,construction procedures and examples of traditional residential buildings in Dawan Village.It presents the overall appearance of the traditional residential buildings in Dawan Village and the emotion and memory that people give to the residential buildings during the building process.The fourth chapter analyzes the traditional vernacular architecture culture of Dawan village in order to answer the reason of the formation of the vernacular architectural culture and how vernacular buildings interact with the settlement society and participate in the construction of social significance.The fifth chapter is based on the research results of the first four chapters,according to the actual situation of Dawan village to discuss the protection and development of traditional houses.Through the research,the article found that the background of traditional residential buildings in Dawan village bears the historical memory of ethnic migration and cultural integration.The ancestors of the Teng family in Dawan Village migrated from the north to the southwest at the end of Song and the beginning of Yuan Dynasty.The vernacular architecture of Dayan Village is the embodiment of Teng’s adaptation to the natural environment and social culture in Songtao Miao area.The overall preservation of traditional residential buildings in Dawan Village is good,which reflects the vertical inheritance of architectural context and the horizontal mutual learning of regional culture,and also reflects the protection of local elites to traditional villages and the support of the country to rural development.Through investigation and interview,this paper presents the process in detail.The traditional vernacular architecture of Dawan Village has rich cultural connotation,which reflects the process of building vernacular buildings and the cognition of the natural law and social order of the people.The main function of the vernacular architecture is residence.This paper discusses the residence culture of Dawan village.From the architectural space from farming livelihood,interpersonal interaction,spiritual beliefs and other aspects of residential buildings and settlements of the association of social life,which reflects the residential building space on people’s daily life and social order.
