A Study Of Language Cognition On Analogous Inference In Ancient China

Language determines thought.The ancient Chinese used by ancient Chinese determined the logic of ancient China,which was different from the traditional logic of ancient Greece and Ancient India and had Chinese characteristics.Analogous Inference plays a leading role in ancient Chinese logic types.This paper combines the cognition of ancient Chinese language with analogous inference and makes an interdisciplinary study to explore the analogous inference thoughts contained in ancient Chinese characters,grammar,exegesis,rhetoric and so on,and dig out the logic thoughts hidden in deep Chinese culture.Based on the background of traditional Chinese culture and cognitive science,this paper explores the inferential thoughts contained in the cognition of ancient Chinese language by applying the methods of literature research,historical analysis and comparative study,and integrating the new liberal arts concepts.Starting from the higher order cognition of human beings and taking the ancient Chinese language cognition as the core,according to the tripartite framework structure of semiotics,this paper analyzes the ancient Chinese in constructing Chinese characters,using Chinese grammar,exegesis Chinese meaning and using Chinese rhetoric.It shows the characteristics of categorization,association,metaphor,imagery,wholeness,relevance and thinking from one to the other.The formation of inferential thought is closely related to the above thinking characteristics.
