Along with the rapid development of the global environmental protection industry in the 21st century,many countries are faced with innovation and adjustment of industrial structure.In this situation,the environmental protection industry has gradually become an important power to support the growth of industrial economic benefits,but also become an important indicator of economic indicators.Compared with the developed countries,the environmental protection industry in China is still in its initial stage.But with the growth of the national economy and the adjustment of industrial structure,the investment and output value of environmental protection industry is also growing rapidly.HWT is a company founded in October,2013,which supplies VOCs treatment products based.It is a professional environmental protection enterprise integrating setting design,research and development,new material supply,equipment manufacturing,installation and maintenance,and so on.The company comprises a team of highly knowledgeable engineers,most of whom reach the international advanced level.The main customers are the factories which discharge VOCs in the Yangtze River Delta,and Pearl River Delta region,including printing,pharmaceutical,oil,chemical,manufacturing and other industries.Now the company has a certain reputation and customer trust in the VOCs treatment industry already.However,because the company is in the initial stage,and the VOCs treatment industry is also affected by the overall development of the industry,the company’s current annual output value and market share both seem a little lower now.With the development of the company and the change of internal&external environment,the most important problems of HWT company is how to grasp the development trend of the industry and determine the company’s hierarchical strategy based on the combination of internal resources in order to expand the scale,increase market share,seek sustainable development.The paper is based on the relevant research results of the theory of strategic management,and also integrated use of some important analysis tools,such as PEST、five forces model and the SWOT matrix to get a strategic analysis of the HWT company’s internal and external environment and its own resources.From the external environment,the opportunities are more than the threats.From the internal resource conditions,HWT has great advantages in technology,strong external capital attraction and other core competitiveness which have advantages compared with some adverse conditions.And with the company’s development,the disadvantage will gradually be patched.After analyzing the macroscopic external environment,internal competition environment and the internal resources of the company,according to the SWOT matrix and the matching of resources and industrial development,The paper concludes that HWT company should choose the growth strategy which means using the opportunities and advantages,and diversify business strategy as an auxiliary strategy.Based on the analysis above,the paper has established the strategic choice of HWT company for different stages.In the first stage,the company should adopt the intensive strategy,the cooperative strategy,and using the low cost strategy as the competitive strategy.With the growing of the industry and the size of the company,the focus will be changed to the diversified strategy and the differentiation strategy in order to find a new point for development.During the processes of strategy implementation,the company should optimize the organizational structure,maintain the technology leadership,enhance financing capacity,expand the brand influence,improve the performance evaluation system,create excellent corporate culture,and strengthen the strategic control and adjustment in order to avoid the deviation between the strategic results and goals.
