Industrial agglomeration plays an important role in promoting regional economic development and promoting comprehensive competitiveness. This paper, based on the high degree of manufacturing agglomeration in the Yangtze economic belt and the high requirement of green development in recent years, takes 110 prefecture-level cities in the Yangtze economic belt as the research object, determines the observation period as 9 years(starting from 2010),defines the explanatory variables as green efficiency value and panel data, identifies the core explanatory variables as manufacturing agglomeration, uses Tobit model and Stata15.0 software to analyze the impact of various industrial agglomeration on green development, and puts forward some suggestions for regional optimization development. The conclusions are as follows:In recent years, the green development level of the Yangtze economic belt is fluctuating dynamic adjustment process, and the overall green efficiency average decreases. When the manufacturing agglomeration level is low,the manufacturing agglomeration will hinder the green development of the city. However, when the manufacturing agglomeration level continues to increase, the manufacturing agglomeration can be able to meet the inflection point of the "U" curve effectively, and promote the green development of the city.Environmental regulation plays a significant role in promoting the green development of the city, while the industrial structure and the utilization of foreign capital greatly inhibit the green development of the city, the improvement of the marketization level can improve the efficiency of resource allocation, the intensity of market competition depends on technological progress to achieve energy saving and efficiency, and the mechanism of promotingthe green development of the city by the level of economic development is not fully reflected in the subsample regression. |
