The Times And Artistry In The Design Of Film And Television Costumes

Costume is not only an essential element in the characterization of film and television plays,but also an important part in creating the visual effect of film and television works,which has high aesthetic significance and artistic value.In ancient costume movies and TV plays,clothing is the main component of its film and TV art language.While respecting the characteristics of the times,it shows an intuitive,specific and distinct artistic meaning.On the basis of the relationship between the artistic characteristics and the connotation of the times of re washing film and television clothing,this paper takes the clothing design in the more successful films and TV series of contemporary Chinese ancient costume as the research object,and studies the artistry and the aesthetic taste of the times in the aspects of color,material,shape and style,And further analysis of the film and television works of clothing art depiction of the times.Finally,combined with the author’s graduation project,this paper interprets the dress art of Princess Taiping in the TV drama "Daming Palace Ci",and shows the author’s redesign of three sets of dress of Princess Taiping.The artistry and characteristics of the film and TV costumes determine that the development of film and TV costumes must understand the essence of traditional historical culture and contemporary aesthetic concepts,confirm the coincidence between history and modernity,make it better serve the film and Television Arts and character modeling,and further determine the future trend of the development of China’s film and TV costumes.
