Objective:With the guidance of the theory of"kidney-brain correlation",acupuncture method for tonifying the kidney and regulating the mind is used to treat Parkinson’s disease, and by observing its clinical efficacy,it is hoped to provide a new target and approach for the clinical prevention and treatment of Parkinson’s disease with acupuncture and moxibustion. Methods:The 60 patients with Parkinson’s disease who met the inclusion criteria were numbered according to the time sequence of their visits, and the patients were allocated to the observation group(tonifying the kidney and regulating the mind acupuncture group)and the control group(conventional acupuncture group)at a ratio of 1:1 using a random number table,30 cases in each group.A total of 53 effective cases were finally completed,27 in the observation group and 26 in the control group. The observation group received acupuncture for tonifying the kidney and regulating the mind, and the control group received conventional acupuncture. The basic treatment plan was the same for the two groups. The treatment was performed once a day,and the treatment was continued for 5 days a week, with an interval of 2 days, for a total of 4 weeks of treatment and observation.Take the patient’s TCM symptom score,UPDRS Ⅱ,UPDRS Ⅲ and PDSS before and after treatment as observation indicators to evaluate the clinical efficacy of acupuncture for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease.Results:1.Comparison of the scores of the TCM syndrome scale between the two groups:(1)Compared with before the treatment, the scores of the TCM syndrome scale of the two groups decreased after treatment, and the difference was Significantly statistically significant(p<0.01,p<0.01),indicating that both therapies can significantly improve the TCM symptoms of patients with Parkinson’s disease.(2)The difference between the observation group and the control group before and after treatment was Significantly statistically significant(p<0.01),indicating that the effect of acupuncture for tonifying the kidney and regulating the mind in improving the TCM symptoms of Parkinson’s disease is better than that of conventional acupuncture.2.Comparison of UPDRS Ⅱ(Daily Activity Ability)scores between the two groups:(1)Compared with before the treatment, the UPDRS Ⅱ scores of the two groups decreased after treatment, and the difference was Significantly statistically significant(p<0.01,p<0.01),indicating that both therapies can significantly improve the daily activities of patients with Parkinson’s disease.(2)The difference of UPDRS Ⅱ score between the observation group and the control group before and after treatment was statistically significant(p<0.05),indicating that the effect of acupuncture for tonifying the kidney and regulating the mind in improving the daily activities of patients with Parkinson’s disease is better than that of conventional acupuncture.3.Comparison of UPDRS Ⅲ(motor function)scores between the two groups:(1)Compared with before treatment, the motor function scores of the two groups of patients with Parkinson’s disease decreased after treatment, and the difference was Significantly statistically significant(p<0.01,p<0.01),indicating that both therapies can significantly improve the motor function of patients with Parkinson’s disease.(2)The difference of UPDRS Ⅲ score between the observation group and the control group before and after treatment was statistically significant(p<0.05),indicating that the effect of acupuncture for tonifying the kidney and regulating the mind is better than conventional acupuncture in improving the motor function of patients with Parkinson’s disease.4.Comparison of PDSS(sleep quality)scores between the two groups:(1)Compared with before treatment, the sleep quality scores of the two groups of patients with Parkinson’s disease increased after treatment, and the difference was Significantly statistically significant(p<0.01,p<0.01),indicating that both therapies can significantly improve the sleep condition of patients with Parkinson’s disease.(2)The difference of PDSS score between the observation group and the control group before and after treatment was statistically significant(p<0.05),indicating that the effect of acupuncture for tonifying the kidney and regulating the mind is better than conventional acupuncture in improving the sleep condition of patients with Parkinson’s disease.5.Comparison of the curative effect of TCM symptoms between the two groups:the total effective rate of the observation group was 96.30%,and the total effective rate of the control group was 84.62%.Statistical analysis byχ~2test showed that the difference was not statistically significant(p>0.05),indicating that the two therapies had the same curative effect in improving the TCM symptoms. Conclusion:Based on the theory of"kidney-brain correlation"and the prescription for selecting acupoint highlights the acupuncture method of tonifying the kidney and regulating the mind of"treating the brain from the kidney and treating the brain at the same time",can effectively improve the TCM symptoms, daily activity ability, motor function and sleep quality of patients with Parkinson’s disease. It provides new ideas and methods for the prevention and treatment of Parkinson’s disease, which are worthy of clinical promotion and application. It also provides a certain clinical basis for the"kidney-brain correlation"theory.
