| Guanghua Medical Journal is an influential Chinese medicine journal in Shanghai in the 1930s,with rich content and a large number of Chinese medicine academic papers and medical news published.It content includes a wide range of researches,which are academic,interesting and popular.It can basically reflect an overview of Chinese medicine industry in Shanghai in the early 1930s,so it’s a medical journal with high research value.However,at present,the academic researches on Guanghua Medical Journal mainly focus on "women doctor",while those on the large amount of literature contained in this magazine have not been thoroughly and comprehensively excavated.Therefore,this paper intends to present an overall perspective of Guanghua Medical Journal by classifying and analyzing its content.Through the research methods of literature and cataloguing,this paper mainly takes Guanghua Medical Journal as the research object,based on part of Guanghua Medical Journal showed in Chinese Modern Chinese Medicine Journal Compilation,referring to the General Book of Chinese Traditional Chinese Medicine,Spring and Autumn in Medicine and other information,making use of databases of National Press Index,National Libraray and Beijng Library,systematically classifying the structure and content of 45 issues of Guanghua Medical Journal.The first part of this paper revolves around the specific content of Guanghua Medical Journal,which was founded in Shanghai during the period of the Republic of China,combs through the history of the founding of Guanghua Medical Journal,and introduces the key members of the editorial team of Guanghua Medical Journal,summarizing the characteristics of the editorial team and the social affairs team,and pointing out that the editorial team and the social affairs team have a clear division of work,orderly management,which lay the foundation for the long-term stable development of the publication.It also summarizes the publishing characteristics of this magazine,and finds that the funds for the publication mainly comes from the founder’s input,advertising income and sales publication income after analysis.Finally,it introduces the paper standard and remuneration of Guanghua Medical Journal.The second part of this paper makes a detailed introduction to the main content of Guanghua Medical Journal.First of all,it makes a brief introduction to the column settings,and a classification and summary of the main content of this magazine.Secondly,it makes a comprehensive combing and summary of various relevant major content,introducing the main groups of writers,summing up its academic characteristics.Finally,through the comprehensive analysis and research of Guanghua Medical Journal,it explores the clinical value,academic value and literature value.Upon classification and inspection,it shows that Guanghua Medical Journal and Medical Light have some relation with Shanghai National Medical College.The editorial team is stable,owning fairly good medical knowledge,paying attention to interactive exchanges with readers,between doctors and doctors,between editors and readers,which sets up a good communication platform.Compared with other periodicals in the same period,Guanghua Medical Journal is published on a quasi-period continuously with sufficient funds to run the publication,and has a more perfect contribution standard.Guanghua Medical Journal hired medical journalists on purpose to report on the medical industry news,so as to ensure the authenticity,objectivity and timeliness of the news,which is rare in the period of the Republic of China,providing a large number of literature on medical policies and situation at that time for present scholars.At the same time,Guanghua Medical Journal pays attention to the cause of rural health,encourages the development of women’s medical undertakings,pays attention to the popularization of knowledge of epidemic diagnosis and treatment and epidemic prevention.It has always maintained the purpose of "revitalizing the scientificization of inherent medicine and promoting the great unity of the national medical industry" for four years,and advocated the maintenance and development of Chinese medicine.This paper classifies and analyzes the structure and content of Guanghua Medical Journal,an important comprehensive Chinese medicine journal in Shanghai during the period of the Republic of China,with certain historical value and academic value,which comprehensively reflects the academic dynamics achievements of Chinese medicine industry from 1933 to 1937. |
