| Purpose:A retrospective analysis of the clinical effects of acupoint application combined with auricular point pressing with beans in preventing and treating postoperative constipation of mixed hemorrhoids with pattern of dampness-heat in lower jiao.Material and method:Adopting retrospective research methods to consult the medical records of hospitalized patients with mixed hemorrhoids with pattern of dampness-heat in lower jiao from October 2018 to October 2020 in the Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and included patients who received simple acupoint application into the sticking group;Patients who received simple auricular point pressing with beans were included in the auricular point group;patients who received acupoint application and auricular point pressing with beans combined were included in the combined group.By checking the electronic medical records and filling in the observation form, the basic information of the patient and the condition information of the patient during the hospitalization are counted. The first defecation time after operation, the fecal traits Bristol grading score on the first defecation after operation and the 3rd,5th and 7th day after operation, the VRS-4 score for the degree of defecation pain, the constipation-related symptom score on the 1st,7th day after operation, the scores of wound edema degree on the3 rd,5th,and 7th day after operation, constipation incidence, enema incidence, and wound healing time of the three groups of patients were observed and compared.SPSS 25.0 was used for statistical analysis.Results:1.Ninety-four patients were included,33 were in the sticking group,26 were in the auricular point group, and 35 were in the combined group. The general conditions of the three groups of patients, including gender, age, course of disease, and number of hemorrhoids, were not statistically different(P>0.05),which was comparable.2.The comparison of the first defecation time after the three groups P<0.05,which is statistically significant. The differences between the combined group and the other two groups were significant(P<0.05).3.The comparison of Bristol grading scores on the 3rd,5th and 7th day after the operation of the three groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).On the 3rd day after the operation, the combined group was P<0.05 compared with the auricular point group, and the combined group was P<0.05 compared with the other two groups on the 5th and 7th day after operation, the difference was significant.4.The incidence of constipation in the sticking group was 39.4%,the incidence of constipation in the auricular point group was 57.7%,and the incidence of constipation in the combined group was 25.7%.There was a statistically significant difference in the incidence of constipation between the combination group and the auricular point group(P<0.05).5.The incidence of enema in the sticking group was 27.3%,the incidence of enema in the auricular point group was 34.6%,and the incidence of enema in the combined group was8.6%.There was a statistically significant difference in the occurrence of enema between the combined group and the other two groups(P<0.05).6.The scores of constipation-related symptoms in the three groups included decreased defecation desire, difficulty in expelling, anal obstruction and bulging, abdominal fullness, abdominal cramping pain, abdominal sinking sensation and total score, with no statistical difference on the first day after operation(P>0.05).On the 7th day after operation, the comparison of each integral between the combined group and the auricular point group were all P<0.05;there was a statistically significant difference between the combined group and the sticking group(P<0.05),except for anal obstruction and bulging, abdominal cramping pain(P>0.05).The comparison of each integral between the 1st and 7th day after operation in each group were all P<0.05,and the difference was statistically significant.7.The comparison of VRS-4 scores among the three groups on the 5th and 7th day after operation was statistically significant(P<0.05).The difference between the combination group and the other two groups was obvious(P<0.05).8.The comparison of the edema scores of the three groups on the 7th day after operation was statistically significant(P<0.05).The difference between the combination group and the auricular point group was obvious(P<0.05).9.The comparison of wound healing time among the three groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The difference between the combination group and the other two groups was obvious(P<0.05).10.The effective rate of treating constipation-related symptoms in the combined group was97.14%,the effective rate of treating constipation-related symptoms in the sticking group was90.91%,and the effective rate of treating constipation-related symptoms in the auricular point group was 84.62%.The comparison of the efficacy of the three groups of constipation-related symptoms was statistically significant(P<0.05).The difference between the combination group and the other two groups was obvious(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.The effect of acupoint application combined with auricular point pressing with beans to prevent postoperative constipation of mixed hemorrhoids with pattern of dampness-heat in lower jiao is better than simple acupoint application and auricular point pressing with beans.2.Combination therapy, simple acupoint application, and simple auricular point pressing with beans can all improve constipation-related symptoms, including decreased defecation desire, difficulty in expelling, anal obstruction and bulging, abdominal fullness, abdominal cramping pain and abdominal sinking sensation.3.Combination therapy can improve constipation-related symptoms, including decreased defecation desire, difficulty in expelling, anal obstruction and bulging, abdominal fullness, abdominal cramping pain and abdominal sinking sensation better than simple auricular point pressing with beans.4.Combination therapy improves constipation-related symptoms, including decreased defecation desire, difficulty in expelling, abdominal fullness and abdominal sinking sensation better than simple acupoint application.5.Combination therapy has better effect on promoting wound healing than simple acupoint application and simple auricular point pressing with beans without adverse reactions. |
