With the development of economy and the improvement of people’s living standards,China has gradually entered the aging stage, and the proportion of the elderly population is increasing. At the same time, more and more elderly people actively face the development of the Internet and become new Internet users. One aspect of the elderly using the Internet most is to query health information. In the case of New Coronavirus pneumonia, because the elderly population is both susceptible and susceptible to infection,it is particularly important for the elderly to protect the virus. The elderly search for novel coronavirus pneumonia related health information,in order to help themselves understand diseases, take preventive actions, deal with various health conditions,so as to better carry out health self-management.Therefore,in the context of COVID-19’s global pandemic,it is of great significance to study the behavior of the elderly using web to search for health knowledge related information.Through research,we can clarify various factors affecting the elderly to collect health information, provide practical opinions according to the above reasons, help the elderly to pay attention to and search for high-quality health information, improve their health literacy, and provide basis for pandemic disease planning in the future. This study will start with what factors caused the elderly to use the Internet to collect epidemic and health-related information, and analyze the dimensions from which these factors can be classified, which are the key factors, and how the key factors specifically affect the elderly’s Internet search behavior.Combined with literature review, this paper seeks theoretical support for the design and strategy of this research. This study mainly adopts quantitative research, uses the questionnaire survey method to collect the data needed for the research, and uses the statistical analysis software SPSS 19.0 to analyze the obtained data using a variety of methods,so as to scientifically explain and analyze the trigger factors of the elderly’s search behavior. The results show that perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, information awareness, information ability, perceived severity, social impact and aging attitude all have a positive impact on the elderly’s behavior of searching for epidemic health information;Perceived risk has a negative impact on the elderly’s online epidemic health information collection behavior.Based on the above conclusions, the author puts forward suggestions from five aspects: government agencies, network platforms, communities, the elderly and families to help the elderly to be willing to use the Internet to search for epidemic health information.
