Taitong mountain folk beliefs have a strong belief atmosphere and rich belief activities.the temple fair of Guanyin bodhisattva in the south China sea, which is held three times a year,is the largest and most solemn belief activity in Taitong mountain, with tens of thousands of followers and many kinds of folk music types included in the prayer activities in the morning. This article focuses on the folk beliefs of Taitong Mountain, taking the "five clubs" as the research scope, the Guanyin Bodhisattva Temple Fair in South China Sea as the breakthrough point, and the folk music involved in the Bodhisattva Temple Fair Ceremony as the research focus. In this paper, the three-step writing method of ethnographic description, analysis and interpretation is adopted to describe the survival state of Taitong mountain folk beliefs through the distribution pattern of Taitong mountain folk belief's and Taitong mountain folk beliefs ceremony.Furthermore, the folk music in Taitong Mountain belief ceremony is analyzed. Finally, through the changes of Taitong Mountain folk beliefs and the symbolic nature of temple fair ceremonies, the author makes a cultural interpretation of Taitong Mountain folk beliefs. The full text is divided into five parts. The introduction part mainly includes four modules:the reason for choosing the topic, the current research situation, research methods and research ideas. The first chapter is the distribution pattern of Taitong mountain folk beliefs.Taitong mountain bodhisattva temple fair is taken as the breakthrough point, which leads to the radiation area of Taitong mountain folk beliefs,"five big clubs",and then connects Taitong mountain temple with the Fang temple in the "five big clubs".The analysis shows that the distribution pattern of Taitong Mountain folk beliefs is a triple and five-digit pattern.Under the framework of the triple and five-digit pattern, there is a belief network with Taitong Mountain temple as the center of the circle and each temple as the hub.The third chapter is Taitong Mountain folk belief ritual music, which mainly analyzes the different genre types of chanting sutras, gongs and drums, singing opera and folk song music in the temple fair ceremony of Guanyin Bodhisattva in the South China Sea.Among them,by using the research method of "far-near" two-level variables proposed by professor Cao benye for ritual music research, this paper makes a cultural analysis of the sound and sound in bodhisattva temple fair ceremony. The fourth chapter is the cultural interpretation of Taitong Mountain folk beliefs, which is mainly divided into two parts. The first part is the interpretation of the change of belief degree. The change of belief degree is explained through the discussion of three issues:the old and new contradictions encountered in temple reconstruction, the comparison of temple fairs before and after temple reconstruction, and the change of people's demands. The second part is symbolic interpretation of the ceremony, mainly from the symbolic symbols and symbolic directions in the temple fair ceremony of Guanyin Bodhisattva in Taitong Mountain and South China Sea to illustrate the symbolic nature of the temple fair ceremony of Bodhisattva.
